San Miguel shops is leased to North County Emergency Vehicle Services (NCEVS), a private mechanic shop that does work for many area fire departments. They also have a facility in Escondido and a mobile repair truck. San Miguel no longer has their own in house mechanics.

I heard that pulse point ie re-focusing on what gets put up on-line. remember they are not a scanner service. incidents such as vehicle fires, dumpsters, investigations, vegetation, building and most calls where ems is not involved are going to be eliminated

Rescue51 liked a post in a topic by diamond682 in Pulsepoint / Heartland Dispatch
HCFA performed a CAD update to the latest TriTech dispatch software on 6/12/17. Because of this, their CAD interface with PulsePoint is temporarily disabled. They are working to get it back up, but have other more important issues to resolve first. I would expect it to be down for at least a few weeks. Also, there is nothing on the PulsePoint.org website or via Google search regarding the software or app eliminating notifications for non-EMS incidents. PulsePoint connects directly with a dispatch center's CAD, so it is actually the dispatch center that chooses what calls get pushed through or not. HCFA begins dispatching services again for San Miguel Fire Rescue on 7/12/17 at 0800.

You bring up an interesting question about an assignment list of all the
OES units.
I was told directly from and inside source at OES, that due to the need for
security reasons, they do not publish a list of assignments for the public.
That OES officer said that you may well be able to read about individual assignments as they happen and obtain the assignments that way.
Over the years I have built a list for the type 2s, type 3s and some other OES units
as they are assigned. This list is not complete and never will be given the
lack of access for the public, it seems. Maybe it will change, not sure
at this point.

the building was 30,000 square feet , fully involved upon arrival of ocfa battalion 2, the fire went defensive almost immediately, with ladder pipes, deck guns and 2 1/2 inch lines. almost 100 firefighters from Anaheim, fullerton, orange city, brea and ocfa were on scene. there were 2 task forces from huntington beach, Newport beach, costa mesa, fountain valley and laguna beach bought up, one to cover the empty Anaheim and fullerton stations as they both had quite a few units on the fire. and a second staged at north net training center in the event they were needed on the fire. there was 3 injuries, one a worker with a leg injury and 2 fullerton firefighters, one with heat exhaustion and the other with a low grade electrical shock. all are expected to be fine. the blaze was under control by 6pm , but units remained on the scene wel into the night

none the less it will be interesting to see how this would affect the current transition. A lot of money has been dumped into the central AZ market.

Envision Healthcare is currently accepting bids from companies that are interested in acquiring American Medical Response. The first round of bids should to be completed this month. Additional bidding rounds could take place over the next couple of months. Envision hopes to close on the sale of AMR by the end of this year. It will be interesting to see if AMR is sold in whole, or sold off in chunks.

Very nice unit. I like water tenders in general. I can't make out the apparatus category over the number, though. Would it be "Water 44" or "Tender 44" (I like the unit numbers to be plain and big and bold. Like "WT44")?

mesabill liked a post in a topic by Rescue51 in Question on a truck assignment to El Cajon
Thank you 'mesabill'. I was not aware the old Truck 15 was 7675. I would of almost thought they would have brought the rescue out of 15's. San Miguel FPD goes stand-alone in July from Cal Fire, and my understanding is they entered an agreement with Heartland Communications, and so I look forward to SMFPD going back to the old numbering system.
