Do you happen to know why they cancelled the KME's? And do they plan on replacing those orders with Rosenbauer engines?
 

County has purchased 11 quints from Rosenbauer and canceled the 11 engines from KME.  This is from my inside resorce on the Truck committee.

Rosenbauer is building 2 TDA's for LACOFD.  The are currently under construction.

Wow. This is why I'm all for systems that prevent this, such as a kill switch that shuts the truck off if the thief doesn't engage certain features. 

For the upcoming Fiscal Year LAFD is seeking $27 Million in MICLA funds to replace 2 ladder trucks, 4 engines, 30 Ambulances, 1 Battalion Command vehicle, 1 Helicopter, 1 USAR, 1 Dozer Transport and Dozer Tender, 1 Forklift,1 Swift Water Rescue vehicle, 1 Command Post vehicle,

For those with FB, they just had their ribbon cutter. I've not seen them around, yet, but I'm kind of a homebody. I'll need to check Squad 37's YouTube.
 

I'm hearing that the next order of tiller quints for LA County will not be from KME but from Rosenabauer, Any truth? How does Ventura County like them?.

Seems Rosenbauer is making inroads in the industry with increasing orders/deliveries. They seem to be innovating. KME has made much progress in reliability over the last decade or two. As good as Pierce is, I believe build wait times and the prices of Pierce equipment, present a compelling reason why agencies are looking at the alternatives.

If you go to www.hughesfire.com > Sales > Construction Photos > Custom Pumper (I would have posted the link, but they hide it, so you have to navigate from their main page), you'll see the first six (along with a bunch of new Velocity's under construction for Mesa, an Impel for Goodyear, and others).
There are six (6) Phoenix Impel's under construction right now: 36134-01 thru -06.  

It was dry docked for repairs and maintenance, it has since been put back in the water but still not finished 

Didn't know Phoenix FD was getting E-One rear mounts. Are E-One rear mount aerials new to PFD, or have they had them before (or even rear mount aerials a new thing)?

Great to see Seagraves for Long Beach!  Hoping their neighbor to the north, LAFD, will return to Seagrave at some point in the near future. 

Would there be much interest in adding San Francisco/Northern California, and the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Seattle, citys like Seattle and Portland) to this forum.

Thanks @Rescue51, your message and offer is greatly appreciated. And thank you everyone for their patience and loyalty.  I think we should be good to go without any interruptions now, and I've used the ads to be able to pay the hosting costs from this point forward.
I feel that, while FB has destroyed many other similar forums, that this forum has a strength in being able to find apparatus news in a central place, and being able to quickly refer back for updates.
