The new type-3 and will go to Fs16's as OES6308.  The type-1 will go to Fs18's and will be OES410.  That is new for San Miguel Fire-Rescue to get a type-3 rig from the State of California OES.  Picture credit goes to the Facebook page for San Miguel Fire Protection District & San Miguel Firefighters.  Wonder if Fs16's still hangs on to the older type-1 they've been using for a while? ~Rescue51

Mesa New Station #221 has broke ground,  I would assume E221 is getting 1 of the 6 New Velocity Pumpers Coming  and I also assume E201, E203, E204, E205 and either E218 or E220 would get the 6th one

Most LACoFD Patrols are normally staffed with one person and respond as part of the Engine Co. Or Quint Co. they share station with, I believe they increase staff on them on high fire weather days, and for type 6 strike teams.

T6 has been repaired and is currently awaiting testing from Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) to certify the aerial is safe. Once that is complete it will return to service. As I have posted previously, the truck was involved in a collision in early December 2018 which caused serious damage to the aerial. All Steer on T6 has never been disabled and is used daily for added maneuverability. While I cannot speak specifically for Santee or members on Truck 4, I know most firefighters enjoy going to fires and rescues regardless of jurisdiction.

L201’s old truck is being repaired and will go to 214 when put back in service. The 3 ladders that were suppose to be ordered, Pierce rejected the specs due to a weight issue. So the 3 ladders plus a engine will go to city council next month for approval. And thank god, they’ll be white.
Also 2-3 additional ambos should be up soon, potentially out of 220. New SS208 should be in service in May.

USAR 4 was moved to brand new station 2 and became USAR 2, station 4 now a single Engine house. Both stations are downtown and not very far from each other.

Hi Mesabill, I suspect T6 spends so much time in shop as it still rolls on too many medical aids.  Though the run demand on T6 has gone down with the addition of Squad-6 (in 2018?), all those years and too many NLS/BLS/ALS runs, beat-up the truck.  NLS is my new term: Non Life Support or the "frequent flyers" who may not be able to afford the taxi cab, or Uber.

Those LAFD triples are heavy duty, so going to 6 or 8 makes sense.....any word why Truck 6 spending so much time in shop?

  20. mesabill liked a post in a topic by lkseng3 in San Diego Area BR46
BR46 belongs to San Miguel.  Since BR14 is out of the county, they are utilizing a reserve Brush out of 14's.  San Miguel's Ferrara Rescue (Old R18) is lettered as R46 and the E-One Rescue/Light and Air is now LA46.  The reason why they went with 46, is because it can be housed at any station in the district without changing the numbering. And if you know the Central Zone's numbering, 46 belongs to San Miguel.

Thank you 'mesabill'.  I was not aware the old Truck 15 was 7675.  I would of almost thought they would have brought the rescue out of 15's.  San Miguel FPD goes stand-alone in July from Cal Fire, and my understanding is they entered an agreement with Heartland Communications, and so I look forward to SMFPD going back to the old numbering system.
