The PI utilities are white. No stripe. Mostly unmarked with the exception of a small logo on the doors. SDFD has a handful assigned to staff BC's. A chief told me they have a bunch more on order.

Interesting to see the City of Orange , a long time Seagrave customer, has ordered a Pierce pumper off the Houston-Galveston bid. It seems to infer that they intentionally wanted to move away from Seagrave given they utilized that process.
-
The Houston-Galveston purchasing consortium has a wide variety of vehicles that are not used by Houston itself. I've seen the list and prices online somewhere and it is not indicative of vehicles used by Houston itself.

My assumption is 105' rear mount aerials but I'm not positive.
-
Yes. 6 aerials if I recall correctly.

Total of 22 pumpers on order right now. The front-line engine fleet and most of the reserves will almost be identical by next year.

The new quints were purchased to replace Trucks 43, 49, 64, 71. Whether they actually go to those companies or not remains to be seen.

They closed E101, 8, 17, 18, and at least one truck.

This engine is the replacement for Rescue 5. Rescue 5 has been placed permanently out of service. There will now be two engines out of Station 5.
