It might be Light duty ship for Helicopter coordination. "HELCO"  I believe LA County has a Jet ranger for that purpose as well.

Its all trade offs, there is never enough money to do what you want.  The other thing to keep in mind is the groups that complain about running this or that too much, are in compitition with those who state a million dollor  truck running no calls is a waste of money.  Plus a rig like a light rescue mini pumper needs manpower unless you are going to strip a truck company to cover the squad....no perfect solutions.

There used to be 2 stations one between PArker and Erenburg and one at Parker Airport, I believe the one at the airport closed.

likely a MCI unit or something of that nature.  We have a unit with 5 fully stocked jump bags with 10 backboards and associated supplies  for large patient Traffic Accidents.
Not sure but the pic might be a dedicated dept transport for fighters or a MCI supply unit

LVFD was all red in the 60s-and 70s ,  by the 90 I believe they were running white and Gold.  then they went red.
The dice have been around as a part of the door logo since at least the 70s
They were Seagrave customers , then ALF, then Superior , then and now Pierce and most recently Sparten

The inside cab of truck 9 was destroyed.  The ladder was likely compromised but did its job staying together to let the guys get out.  most of the PPE was destroyed.  Its a miracle they were all not killed.  I have some picks I'll post when I can.
The scene has been turned over to a investigation team of ATF, LAFD and LAPD

FYI When station 32 got built, 31 closed in the downtown area near the railroad tracks . Also some of the equipment from 55's and  18's got moved to 32's

Yeah back then, in the 80's, CCFD had agreements at Mountain springs, and Mesquite back when it was still a county station.  We also worked out of Pahrump fire and Cold creek before there was ever a station there.  We opened Red Rock much later and stations in Vegas, The Springs, Caliente, Pahrump, Mesquite and a helibase at NLV airport

I went to that camp as a Boy Scout.  It would e a shame to develop it , but the bigger issue is water.  Im not really sure where they are going to get it.
I worked a summer at Mountain Springs Station when BLM partnered with CCFD and we ran calls with the volunteers on our off time.  We built the bunk room and worked on the kitchen. Checked out the apparatus for the volunteers.  Still have one of the old blue helmets !

Stations 72, 73 and 74 are now a independent fire district and no longer part of CCFD.  Also there is talk about Laughlin forming its own fire dept

Likely "Repair".  May have been a rescue but San Diego county went to standard IDs (Engine 44) and MVU uses the standard Calfire 4 Digit ID
    Could be a "rescue" ...

Spoke to a Rural Firefighter yesterday and he told me AMR has told folks in Yuma the Fire service activity  will be evaluated for 1 year and then a decision will be made.

Cal statute states one steady burning red to the front, on flashing amber to the rear, that is the minimum required.  if they did not meet the minimums, could they be cited, yes, would they be cited, unlikely,  unless there was a traffic accident.

Not sure but there is changes comming.  Rural Fire District in south east San Diego County is suppose to vote to join the County fire Authority, but there is some resistance.  Appraently, Julian did not choose to join and may have lost some money.  The other thing I have herd was that some volunteers have been pushed out(rumor) and there isn't the satffing as promised.  The east county fire fighters are having a hard time because they believe that the idea is to push them out in favor of paid staff.  However they contend the paid staff isn't there.
