Posted January 2, 2019 (edited) Here are Peoria's three new rescues (2018 Ford E-450/Demers Type III). These will be used to open two new Rescues (R-191 and R-192), replacing contracted ambulances. The third will go into rotation with the current three (R-193, R-195 + 1 in rotation), along with the other two new ones. So, Peoria will have four fulltime Fire-Medical Rescues (R-191 (Oldtown), 192 (Westbrook), 193 (Thunderbird/Midtown), 195 (North)), with contracted ambulances covering the other three (PMT-194 (Oldtown), PMT-196 (Vistancia) and PMT-199 (Lake Pleasant)). Posted January 2, 2019 BTW - In case anyone is wondering, here are the current three ambos (R-193, R-195), plus the third which rotates with the other two. 2016 Ford F-350/Demers Type I

Posted January 3, 2019 I'm fairly certain PMT-199 (i.e. AMR) still handles daytime only coverage at the Lake. As there is no 24 hour ambulance at the Lake, R-195 responds after hours.

Interesting to note that after this photo was taken they moved the spotlight from the cab roof to the front of the box. I'll have to ask the shop guys about that. Posted March 5, 2020 (edited) Here's Peoria Fire-Medical's newest pumper, Engine 191 2020 Rosenbauer (MN) Commander 1500/500/30a It will be replacing the 2012 Spartan/Rosenbauer. That rig will likely go to E-196, replacing the last ALF Eagle (also, ex E-191) in front line service (circa 2006 ALF Eagle 1250/500/80a, Phoenix spec). It is expected that rig will go into reserve (with the three 2010/2011 Spartan/Rosenbauer rigs), putting the circa 2005 ALF out of service permanently. This will make all front line engines (and all but one reserve engine) Rosenbauer's (5 Commanders, 2 Spartan/Rosies, 1 Freightliner/Rosie, plus 3 Spartan/Rosies in reserve). Lastly, one more E450/Demers Type III rescue (ambo) just arrived. It was buried in the shop with pieces hanging out of it, so I didn't ask to have it moved for photos, especially since it looks pretty much identical to the last three. Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) Last I heard (which was a while ago) is that 198 and 1910 are still several years out. I checked Peoria's 10-year CIP program (where capital projects are funded) and cannot find references to either station (they used to be in there (?)). So, that tells me they're >10 years away, which is too bad because they really need a station around Lake Pleasant Parkway and Loop 303. They run the wheels off E-195 on calls up north. Also, they need to relocate Station 199 to the west (Scorpion Bay) side of the lake. There are many responses on that side (up Castle Hot Springs Road, e.g. ATV wrecks and water rescues) and response times are excessive. That plan was on a bond election a couple of years ago that failed to pass. Edited March 7, 2020 by Jwimig
