If you go to www.hughesfire.com > Sales > Construction Photos > Custom Pumper (I would have posted the link, but they hide it, so you have to navigate from their main page), you'll see the first six (along with a bunch of new Velocity's under construction for Mesa, an Impel for Goodyear, and others).
There are six (6) Phoenix Impel's under construction right now: 36134-01 thru -06.

I saw that CCFD's tractor drawn heavy rescue rolled over during a rainy rush hour in Las Vegas this morning. Some are reporting it was a ladder truck, but looking at the video, it's clearly CCFD's Spartan/Hackney (IIRC) tractor drawn heavy rescue. Three FF's transported with minor injuries. Probably totaled I would guess. I was surprised because I thought that unit was placed OOS a couple of years ago due to staffing or something. Obviously it was back in service this morning.

Here are a couple of captures from the traffic camera closest to the scene, courtesy of the RTC.

Peoria's new FB199 is in town, being prepped to go to Lake Pleasant. It is replacing the 2012 Harbor Guard 26' fiberglass boat that is starting to show it's age (wouldn't you after spending eight straight years in the Arizona sun?).
The new boat is a 30' aluminum drop bow built by Munson Boats in Washington State.
Twin 300hp Suzuki outboards for propulsion (old boat had twin Mercury 225's)
V6 inboard powering a Darley 1000gpm pump (same spec as old boat, IIRC, except I think the old boat had a waterjet output from the inboard for extra propulsion)
No, the "new" photos were NOT taken at Lake Pleasant :-)
I don't know the ultimate disposition of the old boat (reserve? sell? other?), but I'll update this topic as I find out.

I've "heard" that they haven't actually had an ISO evaluation for several decades, but they always continued to put "Class 1" on their rigs...

With the COVID economy, falling tax revenues, the budgets are gonna get super tight if not slashed (or burned up). The best thing El Cajon FD (Heartland Fire-Rescue) did which is what I told the fire chief 10-years ago they should do, is to place into service Squad 6 to run most the calls the truck had been beaten-up on like 5150 frequent flyers, hangnails, METH-heads who OD, and those that cannot afford an Uber so they call 911. T6 was advanced depreciated at an ever-accelerating rate. Poor truck and crew would have not likely been in position to cover a working structure because they were committed on a medical aid. Agencies all around need to rethink their departments, their models, the traditions, as times get much more tough.
And that, dear friends, is why metro Phoenix departments run ladder tenders ("LT's") on most truck assignments, leaving the aerial in quarters, with Low Acuity ("LA") and Medical Response ("MR") units running many of the 80% "I've fallen and I can't get up" calls, to save Engines from running their wheels off.

It wouldn't surprise me (no pun intended) if they're running out of Station 305.

I understand it's supposed to be constructed @ Litchfield and Cactus Roads. Construction was supposed to start in July, but I have no idea.

You are correct: Through Advisory Circular "AC" 150/5210-5D, the FAA mandates vehicles funded with federal grant monies through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and/or with revenue from the Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) Program must meet certain requirements for color, markings, lighting, striping, etc...
a. Airport Emergency Vehicles.
(2) Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Vehicles. Yellowish-green is the vehicle color standard. Color specifications are per Appendix A.
NOTE: A yellowish-green color provides optimum visibility during all light levels encountered during a 24-hour day and under variations of light that result from weather and seasonal changes.

I saw a photo of "replacement" Truck 9 on the major emergency early this morning on Mateo St. Looks like they're running a Duplex/LTI (for now). Ladder boards said "Truck 9"...

Just out of curiosity, can tiller wheels be "locked" so they don't steer (i.e. function like a normal tractor/trailer)? I'm just curious because it would be a long ride across the country in the back end of a tiller...

Last I heard (which was a while ago) is that 198 and 1910 are still several years out. I checked Peoria's 10-year CIP program (where capital projects are funded) and cannot find references to either station (they used to be in there (?)). So, that tells me they're >10 years away, which is too bad because they really need a station around Lake Pleasant Parkway and Loop 303. They run the wheels off E-195 on calls up north. Also, they need to relocate Station 199 to the west (Scorpion Bay) side of the lake. There are many responses on that side (up Castle Hot Springs Road, e.g. ATV wrecks and water rescues) and response times are excessive. That plan was on a bond election a couple of years ago that failed to pass.

Here's Peoria Fire-Medical's newest pumper, Engine 191
2020 Rosenbauer (MN) Commander 1500/500/30a
It will be replacing the 2012 Spartan/Rosenbauer. That rig will likely go to E-196, replacing the last ALF Eagle (also, ex E-191) in front line service (circa 2006 ALF Eagle 1250/500/80a, Phoenix spec). It is expected that rig will go into reserve (with the three 2010/2011 Spartan/Rosenbauer rigs), putting the circa 2005 ALF out of service permanently.
This will make all front line engines (and all but one reserve engine) Rosenbauer's (5 Commanders, 2 Spartan/Rosies, 1 Freightliner/Rosie, plus 3 Spartan/Rosies in reserve).
Lastly, one more E450/Demers Type III rescue (ambo) just arrived. It was buried in the shop with pieces hanging out of it, so I didn't ask to have it moved for photos, especially since it looks pretty much identical to the last three.

17 hours ago, Rescue51 said:The San Miguel Fire District has shared this photo in their Facebook account, and have said they soon are taking delivery of the new Pierce Truck 15. They plan an open house too. Nice looking rig. I was hoping they would go for a tiller, but I believe the tillers are more $$$$. I cannot tell if this new truck has a tank/pump, but believe it does sport tank/pump and MAY be a quint similar to the current T15 in operation. Seems great things are happening at San Miguel Fire-Rescue since they unlinked themselves from Cal Fire. I've seen lots of good progress and leadership. I believe at one time earlier they made an offer to Lakeside Fire to come under the umbrella with them, but Lakeside declined. If El Cajon, La Mesa & Lemon Grove could merge under Heartland Fire-Rescue, I would not be surprised to see this happen down the road. Lakeside + Alpine + Barona + Viejas FD would make more sense.
It looks like a PUC configuration...

Nice! In other Boulder City (or rather, x-Boulder City) news, their 84 Ford C/E-One was auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale on Sunday. It went for $8,800. Wish I could've bid on it...

Not really an apparatus news item, but Phoenix is adding a new Battalion soon (BC-9). Battalion 1 will move to Station 1, BC 9 will be at Station...9.

It looks like they’re running a third pumper out of that station. It was one of the late 90’s Pierce’s, labeled “E447”. Maybe an additional peak-time rig?

The bottom photo (KME Rescue) was taken by me. Here is a better photo of the old Pierce, plus the newer Pierce at USAR 41. Both taken by me. Here’s a link to my SDFD page on Flickr...

I'm fairly certain PMT-199 (i.e. AMR) still handles daytime only coverage at the Lake. As there is no 24 hour ambulance at the Lake, R-195 responds after hours.

Here are Peoria's three new rescues (2018 Ford E-450/Demers Type III). These will be used to open two new Rescues (R-191 and R-192), replacing contracted ambulances. The third will go into rotation with the current three (R-193, R-195 + 1 in rotation), along with the other two new ones. So, Peoria will have four fulltime Fire-Medical Rescues (R-191 (Oldtown), 192 (Westbrook), 193 (Thunderbird/Midtown), 195 (North)), with contracted ambulances covering the other three (PMT-194 (Oldtown), PMT-196 (Vistancia) and PMT-199 (Lake Pleasant)).

Not sure about any other Rosenbauer orders, but your post references order #37499 (I assume -01 through -08). The orders on the production line at Pierce are all #36134-xx. So, it could be that Phoenix actually has 14 units on order from Pierce .
