I was reading many more departments are opting for the smaller brush rigs like the one picture below, over the typical Type-3 rigs, primarily due to lower cost for acquisition--given tight budgets, but also because the Type-6 rigs can often beat the larger rigs to the scene, and the lower weights/smaller size of Type-6 or quick attacks, allows them to access areas not even the Type-3's can reach.
