Community Ambulance is also part of the 911 system in the Las Vegas area. It does transports for Clark County FD in zone 7. That zone is located between Henderson and the City of Las Vegas.

AMR might soon be losing additional market share in the Valley. The AZ DHS director will be deciding this month whether to issue Community Ambulance a CON. If she gives that Las Vegas-based ambulance service the greenlight it will take over the Dignity Health IFT contract from AMR.

Maybe it's a used rig. Maricopa has graphics applied to their new ambulances at the Wheeled Coach factory.

Maricopa Ambulance has taken delivery of 13 new Ford/Wheeled Coach Type I ambulances for its Glendale 911 transport contract. Contract starts on 4-1-2019.

Five months later Glendale city council will finally vote on the 911 ambulance contract. I'm wondering if AMR caused the delay by objecting to the way the bid process was conducted.

AMR didn't submit a bid, and was not "willing to agree to the CIty's terms and conditions on extension of their current ambulance contract."

Thanks for posting that pdf. I'm not surprised to see that their proposed ambulance operation will bleed red ink like every other FD operated ambulance service in the Valley.

When will AMR be pulling out of Goodyear? Has Goodyear FD submitted a CON application to AZ DHS yet?

Possibly Glendale city council will be voting on this recommendation in a couple of weeks.

It will be interesting to see if Maricopa Ambulance uses Type II rigs on this contract.

AZ DHS has given the green-light to Maricopa Ambulance's 911 transport contract with Scottsdale. Operations begin at 12 a.m. this Saturday.

Maricopa Ambulance will be adding a location that wasn't listed in their RFP bid package. They'll have 8 stations (office space) and 5 posting locations.

Come February 16th Lifeline 607 will no doubt become an unprofitable ambulance for AMR.

Council voted last night. Maricopa Ambulance gets green light to become Scottsdale's 911 ambulance service provider starting in Feb. 2018.

Not a done deal. The city council vote on this new contract was canceled this past Monday. The contract approval appears to be in limbo for some reason.
