Posted January 4, 2017 Saw the new beautiful Pierce TDA, Santee T4 rolling code today. The siren was very unique, cannot say I have heard the type siren before--it almost seemed to stay in the low and high pitch ranges longer. Any insights? Thanks and Happy New Year to all, stay safe out there!
Posted January 4, 2017 I have not heard the new truck code yet but by the way you describe it it could be running the Whelen Epsilon which is the same siren B2 and M4 run. Here's a video of M4 running code with the Epsilon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1Ul_hLKQrI Rescue51 likes this
Posted January 5, 2017 No, sorry, much different sounding to me. I would almost say it was an electronic siren imitating a mechanical one. Very strange sounding unless they were having problems with it.
