Posted March 20, 2014 The industry is evolving with competitors taking some business away from AMR while they add some new customers in other cities and towns. It remains to be seen what the actual impact will be in Las Vegas, where the new Fire Chief wants to run much of the medical transports with the existing medic units at LV Fire Rescue. It remains to be seen what the actual impact will be in Las Vegas, where the new Fire Chief wants to run much of the medical transports with the existing medic units at LV Fire Rescue. Too bad Chief McDonald didn't do something more innovative. Replacing those big 2-ton ambulances with smaller paramedic squads like LA County uses would have saved LV taxpayers a bunch of dough.
