Posted October 15, 2013 With Rural Metro recently filing for bankruptcy, many are saying this will be good for the company. I have, however, heard rumors that they may dump their fire protection contracts, as they are money losing. If this is true, are their certain cities preparing for this, or attempting to start their own FD?

Posted October 15, 2013 Southwest & PMT, they have basically replaced there whole fleet with brand new ambulances. Something you did not see with the old owners This replacement pace might be slowing down during R/M's bankruptcy reorganization. PMT's ambulances in Tempe have not been replaced with new rigs. The 911 transport contract was renewed back in February.

If this is true we should be hearing about it within the next couple of months. R/M plans to emerge from bankruptcy in December.
