Those were ordered end of 2021/beginning 2022. The 3 ambulances were just completed.
Since then 2 more Sutphen engines, one more BME brush engine, and three more ambulances have been ordered. Long delays expected.

Those three are due in the 1st quarter of 2024.
Two more Velocity engines and a new Pierce tiller are ordered and due in mid-2025.

Squad 55 will be deactivated effective January 1. On December 31st Engine 80 will go in service as a peak load engine from 0800-2000 daily. It will be quartered at Station 4 initially but may be moved to other stations in the future to help determine its effectiveness.
-
Temporary until modifications can be made to Station 51 to house the tiller.

AMR Rancho units

The 3 assignments listed are from a previous order. The order just placed is for 4 TDAs.

Temporary. New County Station 38 just broke ground. Should be done in 2024.

Did LAFD get new foam tenders? All four of the 2000 Freightliner/Pierce rigs are at auction right now.

Correct. Escondido ran 4 Sutphen pumpers (early 90’s vintage), but subsequently purchased 4 KMEs and 6 Pierce Arrow XTs before now going back to Sutphen.
Interesting variety.

Escondido just ordered 3 Sutphen pumpers along with one BME Model 34 brush rig and three ambulances.
Pretty rare for a Southern California agency to switch from Pierce to Sutphen.

Air Ops 1 is the old callsign the the Air Ops Chief. Now that person is referred to as Battalion 44.
Some of the Crew Chiefs used to have callsigns like Air Ops 2, 3 etc. I have not heard those used in quite awhile.
There are two Fuel Tenders (FT1 and 2) and three Air Support pickups (AS1,2,3).

OES 6320: Region 6 , Type 3 engine #20 assigned
Anyone interested in getting a statewide list together , PM me
That is correct. Existing OES apparatus to be renumbered to comply with new system. No timeline for that that I am aware of.
Additionally numerous Type-6 engines being placed into service. 5 going to ORC and 5 to San Francisco. Not sure on the rest.
