County is not sponsored by Code 3. Whelen is going on the new Squads and BC Suburbans. One of the mechanics at the shops who is in charge of lighting once told me he likes to mix between light manufactures. Even though he knows Whelen is a better product but, still likes to use Code 3 for the heavy apparatus.

Besides the crappy Code3 lighting nice Engines. Should have Whelen Freedom bars.

I read that 15's received old T3.

I have to disagree with the black rims. After awhile the black always looks dirty.

Wonder why so many Arizona Dept's are going away from Federal Q sirens.

During training a FF fell off the ladder. LODD... So 9's didnt want that truck back.

My understanding is, more problems with the system than its worth.

La County Fire removed all the CAFS systems. New engines will not have this system.

I spoke with one of the Engineers on HR103. He stated that the new one has been delivered but is still having lights, radios installed.

Surprised to see BH buying another engine 1. With the current E1 being only a few years old.

My understanding is, Ventura St 26 is going to be moved closer to Santa Paula and SP St 81 will become St 29 i think. Closing Santa Paula St82.

County has two that are 4 years old or so. Never been in service as one has a new tractor similar to the Haz Mat tractors.

Also.. The HR replaced is now the dedicated spare. All it needs is a crew to be in service. The original Peterbilt is the reserve HR and last i saw  this rig it was at FS89 in the back bays.

Any info on the one and only red type 3? Station assignment?

Maybe old HR103 will go to ST126 or 130 and man it as needed. I mentioned ST126 because at one time i heard county was going to man a second HR there.

What chassis did they use? Peterbilt i hope. Anyone have additional pictures?

I was told that part of the deal was county would pay for half for a new station. Is this not true?

No, 116 and 51 did not swap.

Crews are removing the wheel covers for personal reasons or because they become damaged. Black painted wheels are again the crews doing this until told not to. Wheels are painted red from the factory and then covered with the simulators.

Drove bye 27's today. Old 88 is in the house.

It;s a joint station build. Hermosa Beach and LaCo are building the station together. It was part of the take over.
