Posted March 2, 2020 Rev Group finalized their purchase of Spartan ER (which I understand bought Smeal last year). This means under their umbrella, Rev Group now owns E-One, KME, Ferrara, and now Spartan/Smeal. I suppose Pierce must be feeling the heat of competition, since Rev Group is really making an impact in the fire rig manufacturing business. I believe in healthy competition, however I also do not like monopolies, which in some respects Rev Group may be trending towards. Though Rev Group may be adding longevity to the independent companies listed above. I imagine Seagrave and Sutphen must be finding this consolidation lately, a bit concerning.
