Interesting to run the newer Pierce truck (formerly T15) out of 14's, as 14's is such a busy station. They will run the truck into the ground. I thought maybe the reserve truck (T215) was assigned to 14's if their front-line Pierce pumper was out of service. But, in reading the information here, seems T15 is now T14.

Well now i am seeing a squad 14 on calls so may be that is the reason for the truck moved to 14s  More ems calls so a squad can be used instead of the truck

  3. I was listening to the audio/video posted on youtube of the rescue of the person stuck in the sea wall in Ocean Beach for a couple of days.  Command put in a request for a vac truck from station 38 with a 100 feet or airline.  Has someone seen it or have a picture of it to post here?

  4. So are they being dispatched by heartland fire still or did the move over to san diego.  If there are still being dispatch by heartland how is it going to work with them getting a cv ambulance in there station.  So i was from there and now in central ca for now.

  5. So I saw a post that the city is looking to implement fire dept base emergency medical transport services.  Are they going to follow San Diego city and get rid of Amr in the city limits too?

  6. The truck in question is not crossed-staffed.  To add salt to the question.  When I moved here the dept was a 6 station dept.  Now it is 4 with rolling brown outs on units.  The truck has been hit tons of time with the brown out thanks to the city board.  If a station is browned out and there is a cross staffed unit there like hazmat or rescue it is out of service to for the time period.

  7. So yesterday I saw a TDA truck company in central California running calls all over there zone.  How can they perform on a fire with just 3 men?  Yesterday was not the first day I saw the truck company running with just 3 guys.

  8. I saw that in july it was put out of services do to significant structural and safety issues.  it was posted that the truck would take up to 10 weeks to fix.  So has it been put back in to services yet?  In the statement they said they do not have a another truck to put in it place so I guess the next in would be Loma Linda witch looks like a 10 min run into the city if call on.

  9. I have been away for some time.  The last I heard about it was that is was in services with a Bambi Bucket.  Are they still using it?  Also is it cover 24/7 and where is it station if so?

  10. I have a couple of question on the unit. Is the unit Staffed 24/7 or is it crossed staffed? Does it work as a rescue or USAR?  I have also heard it is USAR 2 2nd unit when the normal unit is in the shop.
