  1. Hoping they will have it by June. Will be on vacation in San Diego then. Really want a pic of that rig.
  2. L602 is a Pierce tower. L606 is an Alf tower. L611 is a Pierce 75'ladder. L615 is an Alf 75'ladder. I believe both new towers would go to 602 and 606. 602 old tower could go to 611. 615 too small for a tower.
  3. Why would LAX only have 6x6 arff rigs? Phoenix has nothing but 8x8 and they are a smaller airport with smaller aircraft. Only 1 747 flys in a day. I would think LAX would want to have the biggest arff trucks on the market. I believe Dallas has all 8x8 as well. Just wonderin!
  4. Avondale is moving the ladder and squad to Station 174. 172 will be a single engine company. They only have 1 reserve engine, which is around 10 years old. So 2 New engines would make sense.
  5. Saw all red SW Chevy ambos labeled for El Mirage and Tolleson recently on I-10.
  6. So what will happen to the RM water tender at MV Stn 620? There might even be a brush truck there too.
  7. Buckeye is becoming Buckeye Fire-Medical Rescue. They are already wearing new shirts.
  8. Make all the 200 series engines 4 man companies, have the trucks 4 man companies, and run them individually on calls. The trucks should only roll out on fires/mva's and such. No ems calls unless they are the only units close buy. They can also be the ones that test the hydrants and inspections if the field units still do that stuff. Since EMS is the vast majority of the calls, and engine and truck on a call is a waste of resources. The 4 man 200 engine and ra suffice and the truck stays available for fire calls. I know most big cities use medic rescues, but here in Az, most of the engines and alot of ladder companies are ALS. Why doesn't LAFD start putting medics back on their engines like they did in the 90s/00s. Have 1 medic on the engine and 1 on 1 on the ra, that way the engine wouldn't have to do er follow-up unless necessary. They could go right back in service. Most of the engines in PHX metro dont do er follow-ups. The care is transferred to the ra. They go right back in service. LAFD needs to realize they are in the EMS business now. Apparatus deployment needs an overhaul! Just my thoughts.
  9. I saw Goodyear's 2 new KME engines at their fleet repair yard today. Wasn't able to see any markings or such do to the walls. I assume 1 is going to 185s. Don't know about the other. Anybody have any other new deliveries info to share?
  10. Saw a photo of Anaheim Truck 8 on the Pierce website. Small ladder just like the old E-one they had. But noticed the graphics have changed. Is this the 1st new rig with the new graphics and when did they make the change?
  11. What kind of type 3 rigs did they get? any photos?
  12. Thanks for the clarification on the rear mount description.
  13. Why are they ordering so many ladder trucks? Most of their district is rural residential with the exception of the 2 casino resorts. 4 ladder trucks seems a bit too much. More tankers would make more sense.
  14. What rig will they be using?
  15. Are they going to buy a new rig for 104s or will they be using the old ALF from 101s?
  16. Is Maricopa LT 571 using one of the E-One engines as the LT? What stations are using the Pierce Velocitys?
  17. So what is E825 in now?
  18. Scottsdale E610 is the Velocity from 606s when the apparatus shuffle was done in Scottsdale. L603 went to 606 and the rigs from 606 went to 610s, including the TRT team. Buckeye is taking delivery of a new Sutphen engine for E702. The ALF will be going to 705s to act as a haz mat rig, as some members of the Buckeye FD completed haz mat training.
  19. Hello. My name is Chuck. I have been a fan of the fire service dating way back to the days when Emergency was on regular t.v.. I have been photographing fire apparatus for over 15 years and post my stuff on my website.http://chucksfirepics.angelfire.com. I reside in Buckeye,Az. and travel all over the west photographing all sorts of fire service equipment. Glad to have EMTBravoWest back up and running!!
  20. This tender served Stn 58 in Laveen. It has been replaced by a newer water tender.
