Alot of people scoff at the Ladder Tender concept, yet it works and works extremely well. People say "what if a structure fire tones out and you're in the LT?" No big deal. The LT has everything the big ladder has, minus the aerial, which 90% of the time you don't need on a residential house fire. Besides, if an aerial is needed, the next closet one is dispatched. That's also another good thing of automatic aid. No delays in getting additional resources. The Phoenix metro is basically one big fire department. Only difference is the color of the apparatus.

Anybody have any info on a possible station 308? Been hearing Engine 308 and Haz Mat 308 running calls.

Seems like all the east valley departments are going with engines as LTs instead of the traditional medium duty heavy rescue bodies.

Funny how Queen Creek has the money to build new stations, yet Buckeye can't get new ones built for the guys living in trailers since 2007! They built a new one for 704s way up in Festival, but that's it. But there seems to be a new administration vehicle every week, same for the police. Just doesn't add up.

How many yellow rigs are left in Garden Grove?

I don't understand why Phoenix Fire doesn't have their own helicopter. San Diego has 3, yet PFD has to rely on the PD for help with brush fires. I just don't get it.

It seems like most of the valley departments don't have reserve ladders. Is that because of the LTs? And what's up with Goodyear going from one manufacturer to another? First it was Pierce, then KME, then Smeal, now back to Pierce.

Where did they get this truck from? Last I knew their reserve truck was an ALF.

I don't like the 2 exposed entry steps. It looks like something is missing on the truck. They need to bring the doors down to cover the top step, just like the Dash.

Engine 186 is running one of the spare Pierce Sabers. I'm surprised they're not in one of the newer KME's.
