  1. The only HR at this moment is HR 56 just northeast of Downtown.
  2. Station 80 has only been open for approx 5 yrs. http://www.lawa.org/uploadedFiles/LAX/pdf/LAX_ARFF.pdf
  3. I'm in the dark as much as you are. I get my info from any press releases that I might come across. No longer in state, and do not have any OES contacts. Sorry.
  4. The Cal OES Flickr page has additional pics of the delivery press conference. Link below. Engines are numbered 8431-8435. Unknown as to which FD got which rig. https://www.flickr.com/photos/calemaphotos/sets/72157651603100355
  5. I recall reading a blurb somewhere that I can't find right now, that Copter 17 was overhauled late '13 or early '14ish. They had planned to get it repainted when it returned from overhaul, but they needed to put it into service sooner than that due to major fires at the time.
  6. Glendale FD just tweeted the announcement of Chief Scoggins taking the top job in Seattle. We wish him well and congrats! http://www.glendaleca.gov/Home/Components/News/News/1102/16?backlist=%2fgovernment%2fdepartments%2ffire-department%2f
  7. Awesome!! Look forward to keeping track of LAFD from here in North Carolina.
  8. KME uploaded a small 60 sec vid on Youtube of the rig. Nothing really informative in it. Not really a walk a round tour.
  9. Thanks, I had known about reassignments of what became LF12, and a few others that you listed. I lived just over the hill from 12's, and they had reassigned those two rigs before I moved. Thanks again!
  10. Waterguy, Has there been any changes to reassignments? I see that E-289 has been running with former E-89 (#60729) since at least mid July of last year. Just curious. Thanks
  11. My apologies, but my suggestion still stands as to your writing the next permanent Chief as to your concerns about the lack of Towers/Platforms etc.
  12. Firepost, Unless I'm not reading it correctly, FF Taylor fell through the roof, and not off the ladder due to a ladder pipe malfunction. The site is run by a LAFD member and not a buff. If you are so "concerned" about the lack of Snorkles, Towers etc, write the new chief when they are appointed and get the official answer to your concerns. http://lafire.com/lastalarm_file/last_alarm-index.htm As a side note, the arsonist was up for parole earlier this year, and again was denied Respectfully submitted,
  13. This might answer your question. http://www.piersystem.com/external/content/document/1914/1437979/1/Squad%20Program%20-%20SJFD.pdf Hope that helps.
  14. About 10-15 years ago, I had passed by the LAFD Shops, and found the shop personnel and Brass looking over a Sutphen Midmount Tower, never was put into service.
  15. From the LA City 2013-14 Budget Book. 15 Pumpers 7 Aerial ladder trucks 10 Emergency Command Vehicles 20 Ambulances 5 Emergency sedans I believe the Engines have been awarded to KME. Unknown about the Trucks.
