  1. Any word on LA City Fire replacing the current Squad 21. The rig is a 2005 model and I’m sure it has plenty of miles after the move from station 4 or are they just going to swamp the rigs around since the remaining squads don’t see much action due to now being cross staffed when needed instead on fully manned.
  2. There will be celebration at the Plaza Firehouse on Olvera St., in Los Angeles to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the first city owned firehouse in Los Angeles. The date is August 16th, and runs from about 10am to 3pm. The LAFD will be participating along with Burbank, Vernon, the Crown Firecoach Enthusiasts, and FDNY Rescue 5 which is on a national tour. LA County Fire, Glendale and the USFS have also been invited to attend. Everyone is invited come and see some of the more unusual apparatus from the Greater LA area. The LAFD will have HR 56, USAR 3 and Hazmat 21. Burbank will have their '67 Crown there.
