Peoria buying 5 ambulance's and will start transporting
and will be using AMR until they get it up running
No doubt the contract Peoria FD is doing with AMR will require Peoria to continue to allow AMR to do the 911 BLS transports after the FD gets its ALS ambulances up and running. That's why AMR isn't objecting to Peoria FD getting its own CON. Btw, I hope Peoria citizens are ready to subsidize their FD's new ambulance operation. It will be a money loser just like all the other FD operated ambulance services in the Valley. Phoenix FD's ambulance operation was the biggest loser. It lost $4.3 mllion last year. Sun Lakes FD's loss: $1.2 million, Sun City West FD's loss $363K, Daisy Mountain FD's loss: $829K, Buckeye Valley FD's loss: $1.2 million.

ABC Ambulance has taken delivery of an additional Ram Promaster type II rig.

RM Rescue 821 got a brand new Ford Braun
I have a feeling this is probably one of the final rigs R/M will receive from Braun. I won't be surprised if the next batch of R/M, SWA and PMT rigs come from AEV. AMR's ambulance suppliers are AEV and Leader almost exclusively.

yep , 2540 & 2541 and a spare car in the shed
AMR 411's quarters is using 411's old quarters across From FD 411's quarter's
until new Fire Station 411's get's completed about the same time next year
Thanks for the update. I haven't visited that part of the Valley in a few years.

AMR 2540 & 2541 are station in downtown Gilbert in the old SWA 251 & 222 Quarters
Is that the station on Elm Street?

Just the Maricopa operation's
One would think it might have been more efficient to put the AMR-Maricopa dispatch operation with the existing R/M dispatch in Glendale. However, maybe AMR is determined to keep the two separate like they do in Las Vegas.
-
AMR moving there Maricopa dispatch to Tempe, I wonder if they will change frequencies
Moving to Tempe from Prescott?

Recently backed out of the decal shop.
Thanks for the photos! I like the graphics on that rig.

Superstition Fire & Medical is getting a New 2016 Pierce Quantum Engine &
5 2016 Horton Type 1 Ambulance's on Ford F-450 chassis's
Have they taken delivery on any of those Horton rigs yet? Here's a link to a photo of SF&M folks looking at a Horton box. Maybe it's just a demo unit. https://www.flickr.com/photos/aj_fd/22802349594/sizes/o/

I'm not sure were 2540 & 2541 are stationed, when I find out I will let you know
They are just high peak hours cars not 24/7 cars
I had been wondering why those two units have a four digit designation. Thanks!

AMR 251, 252, 255, 257, 2540, 2541, 411
with Gilbert & QC Lettering Blue Strip fading into Red
Thanks for the photo! Btw, do AMR 2540 and 2541 operate out of the same fire station?
-
The AMR cars are in the stations
I wonder where we'll see more AMR 911 rigs next. Maybe Glendale?

SW told their employees in Gilbert & Queen Creek (including W-221) they will cease to service Gilbert and Queen creek beginning next week.
Local I-60 union has informed its members that the SWA to AMR transition will take place on November 18th.

one was in the lot at SanTan Ford today, not yet,
SWA still covering, But when AMR takes over, some of the old East Valley cars are going to Pinal County
I assume they will get restriped
I drove past AMR's office yesterday. Unfortunately, the Gilbert rigs were parked in the garage and I wasn't able to get a photo.
Just found out Gilbert FD's December CON hearing date has been postponed. The new hearing date is scheduled for mid April. It now appears it will be next summer before Gilbert gets its own CON.
-
They have the standard AMR graphics, but have script lettering
Proudly Serving The Gilbert & Queen Creek Communities
also I think they have blue striping fading blue into fading red striping and then to red striping
It was moving the other direction
Have the rigs been deployed in Gilbert? I've seen AMR use script lettering and slightlly different paint schemes on other contracts around the US.

No luck yesterday finding the AMR Gilbert rigs at AMR's office. Maybe they're still at the graphpics shop or possibly they're being stored at some other facility. Will try to check again in a couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, ABC Ambulance's new Ram ProMaster type 2 was probably out doing a transport when I drove by ABC's station. There was an old Ford type 2 parked out front but I found it not to be photo worthy. Below is a link to a couple of photos of their new ambulance. It's the one in the middle.

I would assume as soon as town council signs , Have the new cars at AMR been lettered ?
Are they Ford Type 3's and QC looking at leasing there New Horton to AMR
I'll be checking on the new AMR rigs in a day or two. Will try to grab a few photos to post here. Yes, they're Ford type 3's. The boxes are built by AEV. Will also try to track down ABC Ambulance's new type 2 Dodge Ram ProMaster rig. Btw, Maricopa Ambulance plans to put 30 new rigs into service in metro Phoenix if they are issued the CON they are seeking at the moment. Two will be for 'critical care' transport. I assume those will be boxes. The other 28 will be brand new Mercedes Sprinter type 2's.

AMR Gilbert /Queen Creek update
they will have 7 paramedic ambulances covering (5 24 hr cars 251, 252, 255, 257, 411)
and (2 peak hour cars 253, & 412) will be stationed at Fire stations
When does the contract start?
-
I'll be curious to see it. Btw, a few weeks ago I saw 7 new AEV type 3 rigs at AMR. I assume they're destined for the Gilbert 911 contract. The rigs disappeared recently so I'm guessing they're somewhere getting the new graphics applied.

The 'certificate of necessity' process for Maricopa Ambulance has mostly been completed. About 80 hours of testimony was presented by Maricopa Ambulance, AMR-R/M and ABC Ambulance in a hearing conducted by an administrative law judge. The hearing wrapped up about two weeks ago. In the next 60 days AMR and ABC will be allowed to submit their objections in writing to the judge regarding the issuance of a CON to Maricopa Ambulance. There should be a ruling by the judge in April. The Arizona DHS director will then make a decision to either accept or reject the judge's ruling. We should know by the end of April whether or not Maricopa Ambulance gets issued a CON to provide ALS/BLS ambulance service in the Valley. If they get their CON, Maricopa plans to place 18 new Mercedes Sprinter type II ambulances into service here. Btw, during the hearing AMR mentioned it will be placing about 100 new ambulances into service in Arizona in 2016 to replace older ambulances. It will be nice to see lots of new rigs on the streets of the Valley, both private and FD operated.
