  1. Burbank purchased a Pierce TDA.
  2. Long Beach, Burbank, Kern County, West Covina and Glendale as well.
  3. SFSFD currently has a new Platform on order as well.
  4. For them it is brand preference. They have 2 Pierce tillers on order as well.
  5. It was not a matter of cost. It was a matter of weight. The previous tower was grandfathered in to the previous laws, so it did not need to be permitted, as was HB's tower. If they were to order a platform today, it would have to adhere to the current weight laws.
  6. Towers are typically overweight for CA weight laws. They would require a special permit.
  7. Not trying to start an argument, but I can say with 100% confidence that it is a mechanical siren.
  8. It is a true mechanical siren. It is recessed behind the bumper to help keep the overall length down. They use the Eq2b cover just for looks.
