  1. Yes, RA935 and RA950 were relocated to 46's and 66's, and upgraded to paramedic status. RA876 and RA906 were upgraded to Rescues 76 and 106, respectively.
  2. That is a Ready Reserve Paramedic Ambulance. Normally it would be in the 600 series, but that is reserved for BLS Ready Reserve.
  3. The Mayor's budget books are good reference, but not necessarily the final word on how the Fire Department allocates the MICLA funding. There are also LAFD budget requests books, which are not at all an indication of all that will be ordered. They are more of a reflection of needs, or a wish list if you prefer. Don't forget the 2013-14 City budget has also been adopted.
  4. I don't know where you are hearing that from. Prior to the recession, four Fire Chiefs ago, there was a fire year fire service restoration plan (obviously gathering dust now) that included a recommendation to add a second heavy rescue in the Valley at FS89. FS56 is right by the 5 Freeway and in a central location to be able to respond throughout the City.
  5. Technically, although I've seen it listed as HR89 as well.
  6. Once all the paramedic RA's get one, which should be pretty soon...
  7. The cab came from Pierce just painted red. LAFD shops did the striping and graphics from scratch.
