Posted September 9, 2016 Since San Miguel is going back to independence, I refer to 15's as 15's and not any Cal Fire designation on the rigs. The other day I noticed a response for Cal Fire (San Miguel) and the assignment showed on a T/C, Truck 15 and Rescue 15. In the old days 15's had staffing for the pumper and truck, or cross-staffing for a rescue when it was there (former E-One rescue has history at 15's and 23's and maybe 22's) and then it got reduced to just the T15 crew (quint) with no cross-staffing (that I know of, unless they were cross-staffing a brush rig). So if both the truck and rescue were assigned, it might indicate to me that 15's has more staffing.
Posted September 10, 2016 Hmmm...all day today I heard the standard County Fire designators...7614, 7219, etc.
