Posted January 30, 2020 Noticed at San Miguel Fire-Rescue shops (next to Fs15's) a new Type-3 (brush) rig: A Freightliner, black top over red, Alpine B17. Very nice looking rig! I presume shops is outrigging and prepping the rig to go into service at Alpine Fs17. Side note, noticed the crew over at 15's washing to old Rescue 23 (which was once Rescue 22, and Rescue 15)...the older E-One walk-thru. I thought I heard it is only used as a light & air unit these days. But it looks sharp and getting a nice cleaning, so not sure what the plans are. I say start using that rig out of Fs15's because they are running the T15 into the ground on medical aids (though they too have a new truck they are either spec'ing, in bid process, or already ordered, I am not sure).
