  1. All R/M-own 911 rigs in Maricopa and Pinal counties in AZ have been remarked to AMR. Interfacility/GT are being branded as Lifeline Ambulance.

  3. 950,000 sqft? So much room for activities (Lol sorry I had to).
  4. Somewhere around 50% of 219's calls are in 221's first due. I heard, too, that a ladder will mostly like go to 217 or 219. There's been talk about putting it at 221 but I can't see that, also with it probably being 2-4 years away. Eastmark has narrow streets with tree inserted; put vehicles parked on them and its an obstacle course.
  5. Yeah I asked about that too. L264 and L209 are almost the same distance for the center of AJ and that's a pretty wide gap. I haven't gotten to talk to the guys at 263 yet so I'll post their thoughts when I do. It was funny that they did mention Mesa adding a ladder out east (which is a faint rumor) as a possible reason to why they went with an LT. I believe it was just a budget issue and considering how busy 263 is.
  6. So LT263 will replace the ladder. The ladder is going to move to reserve status. I asked if the LT was spec'd similar to LT220 and surprisingly, they were unaware of Mesa's LT specs so we will see. Pierce Mfg posted final pics the other day.
  7. 6th? Where are 3-5 planned?
  8. I'll have to ask next time I'm out there. I doubt this would be co-manned deal. There's no room at 263 with the stick, medic, rehab and the cm (which is outside).
  9. Haven't heard this. Any links to pics?
  10. It was brought by someone in their testing process that knows some people over there. Said they order 3 red trucks and 2 red ambos. I don't know if he said as a jab at me, but he didn't say he was joking so figured I'd ask.
  11. We do this in the Phoenix metro area, all agencies are designated numbers. Example: Phoenix is like 1-100, Mesa is 200-229, Gilbert 250's (they have 2510 & 2511), Tempe is 270's, Chandler is 280's (they have 2810), etc. But it's common to refer to your own station/apparatus as single/double digits (Mesa E207 is referred to E7, Gilbert E2510 is E10).
  12. I heard a nasty rumor yesterday. Maybe I can get some confirmation: Gilbert is going r_d? I can't even spell it out, say it ain't so. Lol.
  13. The QC annex is news to me.
  14. there's no plans for sta. 543 and 544. chief zick blew a lot of smoke with the expansion, got ahead of himself and he was gone no much longer. he wanted to expand into san tan and said they would have 7 stations in the next 5 years. trv is still being staffed, they currently have 3 medics and 1 emts working part time for SFMD.
  15. to correct my first post: a lot of rigs are being 5 manned. 223, i would guess, is a newer one as its a front line reserve.
  16. 228 is a reserve engine housed at Sta 201. With Mesa being rover heavy, usually E223 out of Sta 205 comes up first, then 228. It's all depends on staffing for the day, a lot of rigs are being man. Those two units usually come up towards the back end of the shift. Mesa is currently going through MCS so they're being staffed for a few hours in the morning. SFMD has been doing the same with E263.
  17. haven't officially heard it yet, but that was the guess
  18. is the ladder a bucket or a stick? it doesn't make sense to move 14 if its a bucket
  19. I was told because of the wear and tear they were putting on the platform. T263 is being moved to the training center. The TRV out of 263 will probably be moved.
  20. I don't
  21. Medic 263 and Medic 264 start doing dry runs (not transporting), I believe, Dec 21. Medic 261 is the part-time ride that will operated from 0900-2100. New CCU ride doesn't have the power-loader like the medics. Rides will dispatched on altered protocols. Rides go live Jan 4.
  22. its going to reserve status. 214 is rumored to get a '75 straight stick at some point and the new bucket going to 220.... again thats all rumored.
  23. Boeing Mesa Fire is currently at the final inspection for their new Pierce Saber, which is replacing their '95 International pumper.
  24. Link to new engine http://www.piercemfg.com/en/experience/NewDeliveries/Boeing-Fire-Department-PUC-Pumper.aspx
  25. Mesa Fire has a 85' Pierce Quantum aerial platform on order.
