  1. Yes I saw quint 161 in the old TDQ last Sunday. I thought sta: 187 was closed or was that 185. I know light force 181 was relocated but I forgot where.
  2. 161 ? Are you sure
  3. I saw haz-mat 105 with the new tractor today and I'll admit it looked pretty nice. sorry I didn't get a pic.
  4. As far as I know Houston has always used TDAs. Pasadena has a mixture of pierce n seagrave pumper's with 1 KME TDA.
  5. I'm sure Pierce fixed whatever problems there were before completing the order. The rigs that have already been delivered. If they can not fix the issues in Ontario then they will be sent back.
  6. Not true when you look at the areas they mainly responded to battalion 13, 1, 2, 11, 5, and east side of 18. I also feel USAR 88 should be swaped with either 27s or 3s for better coverage. Also I feel USAR 88 should have a dedicated crew of 4 or 5 personnel unsteady of just a A/O and captain.
  7. I guess those v6 fords just can't keep up to highway policing. To me the ford works on urban policing ( inter-city ).
  8. And at station 3 they have the 110, the 101, and 5 with easy access to the 10 freeway as well as better surface streets to combat rush hour freeway traffic. Pairing the heavy rescue with a USAR task force is a good thing. I can bet that the heavy rescue call volume will increase just like when squad 4 moved to 21s.
  9. If u really think about it, it all makes sense. Moving heavy rescue 56 to station 3 makes them more essentially located and gives them better response times.
  10. Not 100% sure on that.
  11. Quint 110 will only go if quint 125 is tied upand even then that's not always the case. I have seen light force 8 get sent to PCH at times. Politics usually keeps 110s in the marina do to them cross staffing the fire boat.
  12. It's always is. Same for quint 3 from east L.A. responding to structure fires in West Hollywood smh. Ill never understand some of the things county does.
  13. I'm starting to think that just maybe the problem is at south coast being backed up or maybe short staffed. By the way I love the grey ladder. I wish they would have left them like that.
  14. McCormicks lilttle brother lol
  15. This may shed a little light on the political issues. http://ens.lacity.org/lafd/lafdreportarchv/lafdlafdreport1864105338_08162016.pdf
  16. Is it just warranty issues or mechanical issues on the TDA's
  17. I have heard rumors and recently confirmed that pierce won a contract for new fire engines for the Los Angeles Fire Dept. Can anyone shed any light on the details of this contract. Etc: specs, how many rigs, and estimated delivery date.
  18. I believe so
  19. Just curious as to why Westmed pulled out of LA County. I Know back in 2006 LA County Fire would either get a McCormick ambulance or a Westmed ambulance on 911 calls.
  20. Not bad looking
  21. Truck alley lol. The city of Gardena was pretty ticked off due to the fact County fire promise to keep old Gardena fire ladder truck in Gardena. Inglewood's old truck was moved to 159s and Gardens truck moved to 170s to stay in close proximity to Gardena. Before county took over Gardena had 2 engines 1 truck n 2 paramedic rescues I think. Now u have 1 paramedic squad, 1engine, and 1 quint. correct me if any of this is wrong.
  22. In the past there have been talk about moving quint 162 to 161 due to Light force 170 and quint 159 being so close and the fact no tiller quint will fit in station 162. don't know if that's the reason but It could aslo be if County takes over Hermosa Beach I guess it makes it look better coverage wise. They need another quint in West Hollywood. Quint 3 responding from East LA on structure fires is just plain stupid if u ask me. But hey just my opinion.
  23. Seems like a lot of SoCal depts. are switch to this style.
  24. My guess would be station 3 or 5
  25. Negative still not in service.
