  1. Sorry, that should say "HT6 - Station 55 (Catalina Airport)"
  2. Can anyone fill in the blanks on these two L A County Helitenders? HT1 - Station 129 HT2 - Station 156 HT3 - _________ HT4 - Camp 2 HT5 - _________ HT6 - Station 5 (Catalina Airport) HT7 - Station 77 Heavy Helitender 1 - Pacoima I'm fairly certain one of them is at Camp 8 and the other is at Brackett Field for Eastern Air Ops, just not sure which one is where.
  3. SO, currently, 1 Squad is and has been for awhile now, dispatched on the 1st alarm assignment.
  4. I'm now hearing the same thing as far as 13 and 52 being used. But I heard that the active stations to be used would be 76, to utilize the training tower area and 77, which is the current HQ station. They would also retain 78, but only as a storage facility or use of office space, and 79 would not be used at all. I also heard information that USAR Task Force 103 could be re-located to one of these locations. Not sure where that stands in the mix of things.
  5. If memory serves correct, I believe its 7 engines, as well as, 1 squad, and at least 1 Superintendent (if not more) on the first alarm, in addition to what you have listed. The Super Scoopers are only a seasonal, limited-time period contract resource, generally starting around September 1st through the end of the critical fire season.
  6. A few questions for anyone with knowledge of the LACOFD Lifeguard units: 1. Lifeguard Rescue units (LR100, LR200, etc.) - are they essentially the same type of units as a Squad? And where are they based out of, the 4 section Headquarters? 2. Area Units (Area 16, Area 23, etc.) - are they assigned to a "specific" location, or do they rotate from one place to another? Same for the Lifeguard units (LG231, LG272, etc.)? 3. Sector units (Sector 1, Sector 5, etc.) - similar to BC or Captains?
  7. There is also Foam 1. It's on a much smaller pick-up truck type chassis.
  8. The new 6 units went to 44, 77, 85, 125, 132, and 143
  9. An extremely reliable source told me that due to HM129 running very few, if any calls, in the Antelope Valley, they decided to no longer staff the unit. Hence removing Engine 329's staff and running E233 in it's place. Station 33 appears to be the busiest station in the AV, so not a bad move I guess.
  10. The new Type 3 engines are E444, E477, E485, E4125, E4132, and E4143
  11. It's based on the type of and location of the call as to whether the 400-rig is taken. 77 uses theirs fairly frequently, with the others being at 44, 85, 125, 132 and 143.
