Phoenix is getting ready to start process for a new fire station near I17/Jomax. Fire Station 55. While construction happens, Engine 55 will run in the area 0900-2100 from a hotel room in the area. Engine 55 will be parked off hours at Station 56 out of service. Members will report to Station 56 to pick up Engine 55.

Looking at all options

Collapse, trench, confined space, high angle, all technical rescue equipment in the support truck and goes with Engine 8. E28 and E45 each have a similar support truck.

Ladder in the budget for east valley this coming year

Chandler will be ordering two new tower ladders. A new ladder company will go to L2810 while E2810 goes to new E2811. Chandler will soon be running 3 ladder companies due to L255 being moved out of area.

Daisy Mountain converted their 2 rescues to civilian medic units today. Rescue 146 became Medic 146 while Rescue 142 became Medic 145 moved to Station 145. Rescue 141 will remain in service as back up co-staffed by Engine 141.

Rosenbauer Engine final was in October. Many red flags being reported. L24 L33 training to happen in December and in service shortly after. E13 will be getting a new Pierce Velocity. New spec forPhoenix. New type 2 ambo for special events off grant and 4 person gator.

2003 E-One reserve AT19 is being replaced with Striker Global. Aviation and FD will work on replacing AT19 with a spec'd ARFF unit and not a hand down from Foam units. Department working to keep an ARFF unit at Deer Valley Airport and cross train FS36 personnal.
