  8. CHP

CHP is strictly a law enforcement aganecy, they do have H-10 that has a paramedic. It respondes to rescues in central sierras when other rescue copters are not available. Their patrol officers are either emts or first responders.
  9. Wonder how they do with handling and speed.
  10. You can never have to big of a ladder!
  11. Nice looking rigs seem pretty roomy
  12. I'm sure when it came to bid came down to who could do it cheaper. Although I do remember they had some problems with previous order that went to Ontario I believe which part of LAX world airports.
  13. Nice looking rig is the first of 4 to come? are the older rigs from lax gonna be sent to van nuys airport? Don't they have really old rigs too?
  14. Nice looking rig. See how A/O's like them compared to ALF LTI's
  15. Yes it is located on la county but just mean universal never set up their own fire protection service. May very well be cheaper for them to have LACO service them than have it In house also have to look at building permit they may have been required to ad a fire house their. Yes Disney and Warner have their own fire engine. I don't think paramount studios has their own engine.
  16. I think they are to large to be hauled on trailer.
  17. This directly from their Facebook page
  18. Photo from south coast
  19. Looks like lags doing final inspection of first Ariel today at south coast.
  20. Heard LA dispatch it today on the radio TC on 14fwy
  21. Hmm interesting one would think it be easy to tell difference between engine and truck??? A truck only got giant ladder and engine doesn't. Don't mind my sarcasm btw
  22. Hmm I've sometimes seen them on security vehicles but never on fire vehicle. I believe In some states volunteers use them when responding. In California all emergency vehicles are post to use red for fire and red/blue for police vehicles. And security/Utililty use Amber. Can you provide the link of where you saw it.
  23. Not exactly they have crew 3 which staffed by explorers that get their wildland fire fighter cards.
  24. Hmmm find it highly unlikely that they are staffed by volunteers. Especially finding one that are trained to lafds standards and are paramedics. Where did you here this from? Also I thought they took body's from from ford brush patrols remounted them in new dodges?
  25. Any pics?
