  1. Not that I remember squads don't carry extrication equipment. In both counties. I know the heavy squads carry extra back boards & heavy duty boards for geriatric patients.
  2. If I remember correctly some engines in remote areas carry electric version of jaws. But if that isn't the case in that area quint 125 would be closest responding truck.
  3. Looks like the second truck missing the fed q siren. I wonder whats up with them? Another reason they are sitting could be specs or issues that they are fighting to get fixed.
  4. Shops put them on

  6. It went into service pretty quick. The old reserve will probabaly go up for auction, If another city dept. doesn't get it or used by shops as tow for broken down rigs.
  7. I can see why they would but these specs in to bid. But with only 7 engines they don't have to build prototype engines. They can just build them all. I can also see why flat beds they dont want brand new rusty engines from all the raid salt and snow. I'm surprised only pierce and one put bids in. I figured seagrave would have put one in along with smeal. This also kinda small order for lafd engine wise. I guess all the open cab seagrave and older pierces/ seagraves have been phased out.
  8. Considering Lafd history ordering pierce rigs they will probably be arrow xt rigs with tak4 suspensions. Probably be while for deleivery since they have average wait almost 10 month to year right now. Hopefully those rigs won't have same problems as pierce trucks. That still haven't hit the streets.
  9. San Bernadino county fire, medic engine 3 was ruined over the weekend while responding to big rig over the side on 15 fwy in cajon pass. The lane gave way sending the engine down cliff Into creek bed. Luckily crews were able to get out in time. http://abc7.com/news/after-storm-erosion-claims-fire-truck-and-big-rig-15-fwy-repairs-to-cost-$3m/1761418/

  15. Rosenbauer is a europeian company. I wonder why they were only ones to bid on it?
  16. Any word on when these rigs will finally hit the street? Seems new heavy Rescue got in service pretty quick. Has the new USAR been delivered?
  17. Interesting concept to have two piece heavy rescue. Especially a snorkel with no pump or water from what I can tell.
  18. Heartland also has similar rigs as to SDFR
  19. Did they get their OES HM rig as well?
  20. Nice rig did they get their oes hazmat rig as well already?
  21. Well could be two things first red could signify that he is a captain. Or that it's one of the larger air Capacity bottles.
  22. Some nice looking TDA quints!! Wonder why they decided to go with double axel on quint instead of single. Must be because they made them quints. The tractor section is pretty long must say I don't think LA county quints are as long.
  23. I believe they use fed Q
  24. I was in Yosemite past week and the their ambulances have red and blue light bar. But primarily red warning lights. But they are also federal.
