  1. So LT263 will replace the ladder. The ladder is going to move to reserve status. I asked if the LT was spec'd similar to LT220 and surprisingly, they were unaware of Mesa's LT specs so we will see.

Pierce Mfg posted final pics the other day.

Should be delivered this week. I also find it strange they're running 1 ladder now. Whats the next closest ladder company? L209?

  2. Went by the shop today.

L4 is inside for up fitting

    R7, R13, & R43 have decals on & almost ready.

New SQ8 & SQ44 are inservice & on the streets.

A new BC Ford p/u is getting up fitted.

A brand new Chevy Tahoe PPV has been delivered, not sure where thats going.

Didn't see any other new engines, I think I'm missing one someplace.

  3. It's the name of development, each neighborhood will have it's own name

QC didn't think that was going to happen so soon, It's the same developers that  built Troon North

& DC ranch and built Thompson peak Rd  in Scottsdale. Is ABC ambulance owned by AMR ?

L4 get decals yet , and did the last 5 Quantum's get assigned yet?

I figured as such with the neighborhood names, its like in Maricopa or Sun City West, people think their neighborhood is their city.

ABC Ambulance is NOT owned by AMR.

Its been too hot to walk fleet so I haven't been. Maybe next week I'll check on L4.

According to my list I have the following in new Quantums:

    15,20,23,27,33,34,37,40,58,905,930

  4. 413  SW corner of Queen Creek Rd & Sossaman Rd  ground breaking in Sept.

414  Riggs Rd & Signal Butte Rd  (2018/19)  Riggs is going to be extended from Ellsworth to Rittenhouse

415  Queen Creek Rd  & 220th St (2020ish depending on growth)

416  Box Canyon (2018ish/depending on growth)

41X  possible San Tan Valley Annex

41X  possible San Tan Valley Annex

41X  possible San Tan Valley Annex

412  new station will built at new location

L411 Ladder Truck coming in 2018

Box Canyon is confusing as I think of the actual Box Canyon along SR79 north of Florence.

  5. Are you sure there not talking about the old L263 ALF Stick

It's cheaper to have a LT, that also can be used as spare, if one of the ladders go's down

I think you're right. Just not sure if it'll be co-manned or just ran seperate. I know they are creating a staffing pool and when fully staffed they'll bring up a truck. Not sure if this is related.

  6. I see what I can find out , 2 Quantum engines were already ordered and the specs were White w/blue striping, I'm pretty sure the 2 replacement rigs, the rig  for station 259 & 2 ambulances (Horton's or Braun's, I would guess) haven't been ordered yet. but if your going to change the color, It's good start with 5 new rigs & 2 Ambulance coming. It's taking Chandler forever to change the fleet to red , Also Mesa's new CRV201 should be delivered soon.

Yeah, I just saw the minute entry that they ordered 2 pierces. Didn't see any specs. Didn't see the ambos either. Nothing on Hughes site yet

  7. Is this a true LT or an engine?

This is an engine, just like LT220, LT602. Not a Phoenix LT.

The bucket is at 264 so it will be the stick that's gone I believe. I'm not sure what's happening with it. It's currently in service.

  8. Here is a pic, taken this week in Appleton.

I found the info in the SFMD board meeting minutes. I guess L263 "burned up" sometime in 2015 and it was decided that instead of buying another ladder, it would be cheaper to get an engine. This LT263 just like LT220post-151-0-88326900-1469407146.jpeg

  9. I see LT263 is on the blue floor at Pierce. Are they staffing it like Mesa LT220 or co-manned with L263 (which I thought was a quint)

  10. Saw Squad 44 on the freeway the other day. Looks sharp with the new cab. Also, one of the old E-One ARFF rigs is at a resale dealer on Grand/35th ave.

I wish they would put one of the old ARFF rigs up at Deer Valley. Its better than some of the other ARFF trucks front lined elsewhere in the valley.

  11. Any word who getting the last 5 Quantums ? and is E58 still getting the Quantum or it going someone were else

I still can't find anyone or anything that confirms Laveen purchasing on their own. As it stands, E58 is still getting their new Pierce.

Any update when Florence is breaking ground on Station 544 Arizona Farms & Attaway

and did they order the Velocity tanker yet ?

I've been out of the Pinal County loop. About 2 years ago the Florence annex fell through and I'm pretty sure so did the plans for the 3rd & 4th fire station. I believe they also downed their TRV staffing. The prior chief spent a lot of money and I think their struggling. A lot of the Florence guys are moonlighting at Superstition EMS part time.

  12. Engine 58 is getting a 2017 Rosenbauer Commander Engine (I wonder who's getting E58's new Quantum)

And Ladder 33 is getting a 2017 Pierce Velocity Mid Mount Ladder Tower

What is this? Are these demo rigs from a dealer? Phx didn't buy any rosenbauer's...

  13. The up fitting side of resource will be busy the next few months.

10 Demers Rescues delivered and awaiting up fitting.

2 BC Ford F250's delivered and awaiting up fitting.

1 C957N Silverado delivered and awaiting up fitting.

Handful of Pierce Quantums still awaiting to be completed. E23,27,33,34,37,930 already in service. E15,20,58 still at resource with decals. Few blank Quantums still waiting.

New SQ19 currently inside getting build. Chevy chassis.

New Pierce ladder should be delivered shortly, presumedly going to L4.

2 SQ remounts delivered and awaiting up fitting (SQ8 & SQ44). Hoping the body will get a refurb/updating prior to going in service.

Once thats all completed, decommission the spare Saulsburys and turn the 2003s,2004s,2005s ALF's into spares.

    A nice summer project.

  14. Station 8 is down the street from the PFDRDC and home to E8, R8, SQ8, S8, and ST8 as well as Fire Investigations.

That facility located on the training academy grounds is not in service and is undecided on how it will be utilized.
