  1. Gilbert Fire & Rescue held a ceremony to welcome their new Pierce Quantum. It was interesting that new the Pierce wasn't really set up at all. The old Pierce seemed empty. and the crew was in service running out of the reserve Pierce Kenworth. They had 3 Engine 256s at the station.
  2. Fire Station 842 started in a double wide at Riggs & Hawes with Southwest Ambulance AP411. Rural Metro next moved 842 to the gravel pit at Ocotillo & Meridian, also in a single wide while AP411 moved into their current station in the QC Town Hall complex. Finally 842 moved to their new home at 36251 N Gantzel Rd in an empty office complex across from Banner Ironwood Hospital. I haven't been by in a few weeks, but FS842 housed E842, T842, TRV844, BC840, and AP598. The tanker, ambulance, and BC all parked outside. The station is leased. Station 844 has been talked about for several years now At one point, it was rumored to be somewhere near Hunt & Gary. I bet RM feels confident about staying in the area with all the failed Fire Department start-ups & incorporation talks. With the fire authority movement gaining popularity, it will be curious to see how this may or may not change STV & other Rural Metro Fire areas as a whole.
  3. What is Gilbert running as their RH251 truck? It was requested tonight to Chandler's debris fire in the county island. Command asked for air conditioning. I thought RH264 was the only cooling bus...
  4. There is a U251, CV251, RH251, & R251 all in service (besides the Engine, Ladder, and BC). Not sure what the RH is running out of. Pierce PUCs coming from Miami Dade. Unknown ETA to delivery. Haven't been by AMR Station 1 in awhile and not sure if RM set up a new fleet location somewhere.
  5. A recent photo of MSU1 with Phoenix Fire graphics on the door.
  6. Sierra Vista has a custom velocity in production. It appears to be configed to transport EMS patients. I don't know that are all that well, is this something they do?

  8. Phoenix has 2 Velocity 95' Aerial Platforms in production. I have no information regarding that Commander.
  9. Used Impel went to Pima County.
  10. It's a former west valley department utility, maybe Avondale's. It's not really in service yet for automatic aid but can be used at the direction of Surprise Fire to support long incidents within the city if needed.
  11. Went by resource today and E215 is still labeled as 215.
  12. Never saw this coming.. <eye roll> none the less it will be interesting to see how this would affect the current transition. A lot of money has been dumped into the central AZ market.
  13. No more auto dispatch. Everything is back to the way it was prior to halo and will be special called.
  14. For those keeping score at home, HALO151 is no longer in service and has now become AirEvac17 out of Wickenburg. Just regular 'ol AirEvac ship now.

  21. Anyone have a current roster/list of rigs in service? Specifically i'm looking for the model years.
  22. EMT Brian Lemaster, coworker, friend, brother, son, father, and fiancé, passed away on September 21st. His fellow co-workers and EMS community will be holding a celebration of life for Brian on Monday, September 26th at 7:30pm (1900), and at 9:00 pm (2100) there will be a balloon release. All are welcome to attend the celebration event which will be held at AMR Station 1 located at 617 W Main Street, Mesa, Arizona. Brian’s funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29th, 2016 at Mountain View Funeral Home (7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207). Viewing will be at 09:00 AM, followed by services at 10:00 AM. Class A/B Uniforms are optional for Fire/EMS personnel. Jobs like Brian’s as an emergency medical professional is not an easy one. It’s toll on our bodies and minds is no gentle matter. PTSD and depression are real issues, work issues. If you or anyone you encounter needs help — even if it is just somebody to talk to — please do not hesitate to call EAP, call a friend, a supervisor, a union officer or the CISD team. The phone number for EAP Counseling is 1-800-925-5327. CISD for this tragedy can be reached by calling Kari Spannerella at 520-429-2796. https://www.locali60.org/2016/09/24/lemaster-memorial-funeral/

  24. Thank you, this is what i've been looking for.
  25. This is my list, mind you my list is comprised of trucks i've seen in person. E15 - 531037 E20 - 531040 E23 - 531038 E27 - 531019 E33 - 531018 E34 - 531017 E37 - 531029 E40 - 531052 E58 - 531020 E918 - 531073 E930 - 531039 E905 I've seen a photo of. I can't confirm 31 or 54. Still nothing heard about E58 getting the Rosenbauer. The guys know nothing, resource knows nothing, the BC for that area knows nothing. Everyone we've asked laughed and said no. Maybe the district is getting one and storing it? Believe the contract Laveen has with Phoenix says that Phenox will provide everything, including apparatus. Rescues I have, R3, R7, R13, R25, R43.
