  2. Opps, I meant the U-boat. But thanks for the report, I never make it that far west.
  3. Why such an older rig for a dedicated reserve? How old is the freightliner?
  4. The LT is next and is being spec’d. Will be similar to E575.
  5. There is talk of moving HM38 to FS32. Tempe is making some changes to their deployment model. Mesa with this attempt. Superstition also looking at a deployment change. Too bad departments can't come together with a white board and figure out whats best for everyone.
  6. So, any word on this? I haven't been at work nor listened to mesa's radio in while.
  7. Did TRV203 ever get a dedicated vehicle? Last I saw they were in an engine.
  8. Where will the SQs and HM go?
  9. As a dedicated LT?

  11. Fire Station 8: Engine 8 Support 8 (bread truck, manned by E8 crew) Squad 8 Squad Tender 8 (ST8) - similar concept to LTs but in reality the ST8 is used with the large squad is down. Rescue 8 (Ambulance) C957S - special operations captain
  12. They used to be referred to F208, F215, and F225. It got to be a lot and confusing. They wanted to be F1, F2, etc... but PHX already has that. So F21, F22, F23 for Gateway. F28, F29 for Falcon. Oh and AT20 is no more. Luke ARFF assets are known regionally as F3611, F3612, F3613 but on base they're F11, F12, F13. I do believe that if PHX ever puts an ARFF truck at DVT, it will be F36 Boeing (Mesa) ARFF assets aren't apart of the regional system. ROCC at work.. LOL
  13. This is off the top of my head... E251, L251, LT251, U251, RH251, BC251 E252, L253, LT253, LA253, BC252, E2540 E254 E255 E256, T256 E257 E258, HM258 L259 E2510 E2511, T2511, BR2511 They have a MMRS Decon unit, Community 251 (similar to CR or Connector program), and K9 Arson Dog (Investigator 251).
  14. Yes, R29 is the only part time rescue that’s only at night. Everyone else has a day time counterpart. R19, R38, R52, R57 are the only part time rescues that are only during the day. No rescue at FS5. DB1 parks at FS16 when not at the ballpark.
  15. The (3) represents that during the day, R918 is responding out of FS3. At night, back to FS18. Anytime you see a unit with a (#) beside it means that unit is covering that station aka on Move Up LA18 has already been reidentified as MR18. At FS18 is E18, E918, MR18, R18, R918 (at night). DB1 is Diamondbacks 1, Ambulance for DBacks games. USA1 was for US Airways center but that facility has changed names & uses private contractor for EMS. Now USA1 is used for specials events, processionals, etc. you’ll see this placard during dignitary visits. FAIR1 is Ambulance dedicated to the state fair. DPS medics handle the EMS. FAIR1 transports. The 90’s are used for larger events, EMS training, or Code 3 driving training.
  16. Full Time: R3, R7, R8, R9, R11, R13, R15, R17, R18, R21, R22, R25, R26, R27, R28, R31, R32, R33, R34, R35, R36, R42, R43, R50 Day Time: R19, R30, R38, R40, R45, R52, R57, R61, R918 (3) Night Time: R29, R30, R40, R45, R61, R918 Others: DB1, USA1, FAIR1, R99, R98, R97, R96
  17. This was GDY's 6-year ambulance plan that was posted Feb 2017. The 1st Ambulance is supposed to be going inservice FY2018. 6-Year Phase-In Plan.pdf
  18. The current LA18 will change its name to MR18 on the 15th of this month. It was determined that the name “low acuity” does not aline well with the actual deployment of the unit. LA18 is a 4-person ALS company that responds to critical EMS calls for service without the need for MPW backup. This isn’t consistent with the LA program system wide. It’s been mentioned in another post that MR154 may also go in service as a unique partnership between Gelendale & Phoenix Fire Departments.
  19. Mesa Fire is using this reserve quantum until a truck is purchased/built for TRV203.
  20. Rural Metro had, what looked to be, 2 new tenders parked outside of their fleet. They were facing away from me. Body looked like TruckWorks (or similar). They were yellow w/ typical blue striping. I wonder if T825 & T842 are being replaced. The dodge ram type 6 looked to have gotten a facelift as well. I believe she was the old BR857 at one point. Another type 6 was also in the lot.
  21. So did I until I saw Mesa’s TRV205 & TRV203. The LA’s are obviously low acuity and handle those lower priority calls. These TRV’s are ALS 4-person crews without any penalties or distance limitations. They have MPW so they don’t need to be backed up. I like the idea. It makes sense to me. It’s what LA18 ‘should’ be in my opinion.
  22. This is a 4 person ALS crew using a reserve engine until a smaller apparatus is placed in service.
  23. And the grant funder small fire suppression unit should be received soon.
