  1. This is one of the Phoenix Rescues at the Phoenix MCT shop.
  2. The Phoenix ambulances are in fact delivered and just had their MCTs installed. They do not have graphics yet.
  3. I haven't heard anything. I've noticed all the AMT rides are pretty much sold off. The Rural Metro Ambulance brand that has been running in Maricopa county have switched into Southwest Ambulance rides for both Interfacility and EMS. Leaving Rural Metro Fire rescues, Southwest Ambulance, and PMT ambulance. Not sure much on the PMT side. I would guess Comtrans and all of those other brands that Bob started.
  4. I'm sure FS 258 will be pretty happy with this.
  5. They have been handling IF from Del Webb for some time now. They have both Medic and Rescue units. SW actually does not have a CON for IF transports in that area. RM does. They used to dispatch AMT or RM marked ambulances into SCW when requested to do so.
  6. Daisy Mountain is experiencing this right now. At times, all of their rescues along with their medic unit are on transports from JCL.
  7. Ah, that's right. I forgot they moved to a new public safety building. 575 was in a double wide right in the center of town.
  8. Well i know why they need a ladder, but why such a big one for their primary residential town. Yes, another station south of the tracks would be good. A real station 575 would also be nice for them. They should probably get a hazmat team so they don't have to rely on Gila River & since Casa Grande doesn't bring the county hazmat truck anywhere.
  9. Why do they need a 100" ladder?!
  10. Well newer than T825. It's the old T857 but has been following E842 for the last few years. They haven't done much upgrading or refurb to it besides putting a new decal on the doors.
  11. And good question, I'm not sure what else is at 843. Maybe the parade engine? I'll have to go by later this week. T842, BC840, & AP598 are also parked outside of FS842. TRV844/E842 took the bays.
  12. As far as I know they only got one. They remounted on of their GMC Brauns after a head on recently. I think this ford went to AP173 who was the last to get new braun.
  13. https://www.facebook.com/PhxFirePics/photos/a.452741018174315.1073741829.452357971545953/872193726229040/?type=3&theater This one?
  14. Recently backed out of the decal shop. https://www.facebook.com/PhotographerEightZeroOne/photos/a.452741018174315.1073741829.452357971545953/871097016338711/?type=3&permPage=1
  15. 213/214 coming up out of 617 and RM857. Not sure what's happening to 255/854. Good question.
  16. Just as PMT does in TMP, SCT, PEO. You pull from your inter facility ops. I'm sure SW will be involved in a M/A basis as well. Plus doesn't Gilbert have a rescue they sometimes out in service when SW is level 0?
  17. AMR is on creatives MOTOTRBO system and you're unable to monitor them. SW told their employees in Gilbert & Queen Creek (including W-221) they will cease to service Gilbert and Queen creek beginning next week. In order to absorb some of the displaced employees SW is bringing back W213 & W-214 as 16hr trucks on an ABC Kelly schedule.
  18. I realize this is an old thread. Since L214 got a new ride, where is the old one going? It's still at fleet with 214 numbered on it. L220?
  19. City of Buckeye recently took delivery of a new (naked) Sutphen.
  20. Agreed! See ya later tomar!
  21. A few years ago the Town of Florence entered into contract with Southwest Ambulance. The contract places requirements on the ambulances. Such requirements include vehicles under a certain millage, therefore SW has purchased new vehicles for the area. First a little background; The Town of Florence Fire Department aka Florence Fire/Medical has two stations and staffs three apparatus. With plans on expansion with the upcoming annexations planned. FS541: E541, TRV541 FS542: L542, C541, BC542, BC543 Southwest Ambulance operates out of two stations. Station 548 Historic Florence AP548 AP549 Station 547 aka Florence Hospital at Anthem AP547 The first wave of 'new' ambulances came after SW pulled from Chandler. Shops 486, 487, & 488 were R281, R2810, & AP283 thus becoming AP547 (shop486), AP548 (shop487), and AP549 (shop488). The next wave came in March when SW purchased 3 brand new Ford/Braun ambulances. These have the Ford gas motors. Shops 494 (AP547), 495 (AP548), & 496 (AP549). The lighting seems to be the cheaper Code 3 PSE brand LED lighting vs the Whelen light package that were on the Chandler Rescues. Those Chandler rescues then went to Maricopa as AP571 (shop486), AP572 (shop487), & AP573(shop488). Here are some photos... I'll work on getting better quality of all the rides.
  22. This kills me because the contact SCFD has with the ambulance provider states BLS ambulance. You can't claim the ambulance provider isn't ALS when YOU requested them to be BLS...
  23. I also live in Johnson Ranch and welcome the move of Johnson Utilities to the Town of Florence. I doubt the proposed STV Fire District will gain any ground. Too many mixed views on the subject, plus the Town of Florence seems to be moving very quickly with their land annexations. Only time will tell for sure. What do you think of that Johnson Volunteer Fire Department decal on that old rig parked in George Johnson's yard?
  24. Casa Grande didn't get any new cars. They are still in the first generation Mesa Ford/Bruans. Nothing is set yet for the Town of Florence, but looking at Attaway & Arizona Farms Rd.
  25. Buy they're spending money on corporate re-branding. New logos on apparatus, new uniforms (nation wide), and locally (PMT/SWA) have had 'A Rural/Metro Company' decals placed on every shop. $$$
