  1. From the SOP you can find online. https://www.phoenix.gov/firesite/Documents/074793.pdf
  2. In my conversation with one of the chiefs, yes, the 5 have been ordered. The 1st four not assigned, but 55 might be getting one. Ladder 24 or 4 might get the miami tower you guys speak of. Anyone have pictures of it? Steve
  3. in a recent phone conversation, appears just a purchase of 2. Certain individuals had their input. There is no change to all E-One sticks!
  4. Most likely still owned by the City of Phoenix. Assuming the city is like most, you don't just approach them asking if they want to sell it...... At least in my city, they don't! Good luck!
  5. Wrongo on the E-1's as the next ladder truck(s) they are buying. I was told during recent visit, just a 1 time purchase. Look into it! Steve
  6. It would appear the lights are mounted into the brow above the windshield. Steve
  7. It's not just used for training. It is a reserve and was just in service at Station 2 on my recent visit a few months ago. Steve
  8. It blew a motor during a wildland fire out of state it was on. It will never see service in Surprise again. Its gone.
  9. In MANY MANY areas. Google it and you will find what you are looking for.
  10. Rural Metro ended their contract as the fire service provider for Scottsdale on June 30, 2005 Steve
  11. you'll be able to see the Rosenbauer soon. Steve
  12. correct mfg means nothing. But $$$$ does. You must be talking to the wrong people and I won't name anyone in particular. Same thing applies to KME. Think about why a dept makes only 1 purchase of a KME and either never goes back or it will be years before they do. Yes they are a east coast rig and well LA gets low bid too. thats all and I am out..
  13. Low bid - period. There is a reason they are called Rosenjunkers.
  14. better check that list, it was presented to a Phoenix chief and its not 100% correct is what I was told, but not sure what is incorrect. Steve
  15. This tanker has the PUC option. Of course not the biggest tanker, but its pretty big!
  16. yep I know that
  17. pretty sure they are not all at once. But of course thats what I am told - I do not live there.
  18. Why purchase something new? The boxes are good, but the ALF chassis are crap!
  19. don't be surprised if Scottsdale sells the Truck at L602
  20. remounts of old ALF units only
  21. looks good. Guess even this chief was given wrong information.
  22. As a Chief and a buff, it amazes me what you guys accurately know, what you think you know and apparatus you have no idea about. I recently attended a command class in Scottsdale and some of your recent information is wrong. Where do you get your information from anyway? these ambos have not been delivered. I will tell you that even the dealer is not sure when they will arrive. They say late march early april maybe thats "soon" to those of you that follow that stuff. Rio Verde won't have a 2nd station for 2-5 years. The head of apparatus in Peoria said he hasn't ordered ambos for them "yet". Chief Steve
  23. because of the new ambos. Too much stuff and no room to keep them in. Expect more reassignments.
  24. yes, all to go in service early Jan
