What model Suburbans are they in these days?

So 5's has there KME as there Assesment Engine now? Is 205 a Pierce now?

 

What about 95 and 295?

How come they went to the EQ2B on the RAs instead of the good ol fashion Qs or the old Timberwolfs?

I see the new Dodge RAs are using the EQ2B. Sometimes there is another tone mixed in besides the horns and yelp. What siren or function is this?

On The Doa Structure fire i believe LAPD handles the calls for the coroner. and as far as the request

for a tow. i think they just request a tow from their radio ops.

I am looking for the basic wording used on these calls.

This is one of the newer E450 Rescue but same principal marking wise. No mention of medic on the box. The back door on the left simply says LAFD.

all BLS rescues are numbered 800 or 900 series. 801,805,866 or 903,907, and so on

Thats why I asked. It should be ALS but missing the markings like all the other Dodge's.

Just wondered if this was an ALS bus or not? It has no paramedic markings on the side like some of the ALS Dodge buses do, but the Station Guide I found somewhere has it listed as ALS.

Can't say I am a big fan of any of this design. Maybe seeing it in person would change my mind, but that front bumper look like it should have ALOT more ground clearance.

Has E295 gotten bumped up to a Pierce or are they still in a Seagrave? Is RA95 still in a Ford E series or have they received a Dodge? If they are still in a Ford, which year is it?

I was listening to the scanner last night and heard a call for what I believe was a structure fire. There was a DOA and this was before they even searched. They said the person was on the porch so maybe they died on the porch? I never heard them call out for a Coroner Investigator or transport unit. Do they make the call over the radio for the coroners office? If so how do they typically phrase it.

 

Also how would PD call for a tow truck over the radio?

Has any of the new KME's hit the streets yet ? or are they still sitting at the shop.

I can't give any exact numbers but I have seen quite a few KMEs floating around.

That's why I asked. I know other USAR orgs that utilize ambulances brand new from the shop out fitted with lighting but do not have the ability to respond code 3.

I see CMEP has what looks to be a few old ambulances(retired BLS from LAFD?):

Are they able to respond Code 3? I have seen other S&R orginzations that utilize ambulances, old and new, but can not respond Code 2/3. Just wondered if CMEP is allowed to or not.
