I have the flightrader24 app flight tracker and have it set up for alerts, with the LAcoFD copters set up as alerts, but none of the copter flights are listed or shown on flightradar24. Is it even possible to track or view the flights of countys copters and if so which is the best flight radar app to view them on? JT

Hi guys, not been on for a while but have a couple if questions about CHP if thats ok. Do the CHP run a paramedic program, and if so are they dispatched as paramedic resource to ems incidents? How many units would a CHP base put out at a time, say west valley, they have a huge area. Are each patrols area assigned by freeway or locality?? What tours do they start and finish on? Thanks guys. A question for those in the know.. Has SFFD ordered any new ladders or engines to replace the older rigs at engine 2 and Ladder 2, that are the older spartans in service? Is there any way of knowing what companies use the ten maroon ALFs? Cheers for any info.

It is my understanding that the squads provide an auto extrication capability at MVAs, carrying extrication tools as part of their equipment. A couple of questions, is this all the squads, or just the 'heavy' squads, what kind of extrication tools are carried, and which squads have the capability for auto extrication? May thanks JG

I have recently started to occasionally listen into SFPD radio, as its one of the clearest around and easy to listen to. I do struggle with the unit and patrol radio callsigns however. I have heard Adam14adam and 14boy and so on. Are the units callsigns numerical to indicate which station they are out of and which unit they are out of that station? I assume each unit goes on duty and is assigned an area within the stations district to patrol. I have not K9 callsign yet. And lastly does SFPD operate double crew units or single crew units? Once again many thanks for any info.
