Went by station Heartland station 9 today and saw Truck 6 in open apparatus door. Maybe close to returning to service.
-
I may be wrong but I think the truck has been OOS for nearly a year. I wonder if it's going to be repaired or written off at this point. Certainly leaves the zone light in terms of Truck companies.

Noticed over the weekend that Chula Vista is now running a squad - Squad 62. Anyone know which station it's located at? Current CV stations are 51-59.
-
Saw another news article...apparently it's a roving unit serving the eastern portion of the city where response times have been poor.
-
I believe Vista has a mid-mount as well.
-
Looks like it's back up.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed that all agencies dispatched by Heartland have no incidents? Perhaps a CAD interface issue...or maybe Heartland is discontinuing its affiliation with Pulsepoint

Trying to keep track of the Mercy ambulance stations: I have 45 in Descanso, 47 in Boulevard, 36 in Jamul with 38 and 238 at Donovan in Otay Mesa Anyone know: Is Medic-26 at Alpine 17 Where is Medic 20 based?
-
I believe it is an EMS battalion chief..nothing to do with station numbering.
-
Hmmm...all day today I heard the standard County Fire designators...7614, 7219, etc.
-
Been hearing Truck 36 responding to calls in the San Miguel area. Is this a new truck out of Jamul? Wondering why it is not using a 4-digit designator, like truck 7675?

Just heard Squad 56 (not 55) go in service. I Believe in the UTC area?

Noticed a change in unit numbering yesterday, Not hearing ant of the "peak-unit" IDs that roam.(Medic 87, erc). Instead we're now getting Medic Ids such as M-13 M-45 M-25 M-23 Clearly, these stations have not had medics assigned to them nor do the medic IDs correspond to a particular district. Foe example, Medic-13 yesterday was responding mostly in 32s district. Any info on the changes?

Looks like San Diego's pilot program for squads has begun. Hearing Squad-55 dispatched in Station 32's district over the past few days. Anyone know what sort of rigs they are using?

Link to the press release and photo www.sandiego.gov/fire/pdf/frs.pdf

Anyone have an updated list of the of the other front-line SDFD apparatus?
-
With all the new Pierce rigs going into service does San Diego plan to keep the KME's it leased 6-7 years ago for reserve use. Or do they go back at lease end?
-
The "old" Pierce Engine 6 is now at station7. All front-line apparatus is in Piece and the three KME enhines are now all reserve.
