I wonder why they don't just send the new trucks to the stations that need them instead of do the hand me down thing?

Anyone have a guess as to which stations will get the new tillers? My guess is station 71 and 75 then possibly 43 and 49. Although I am not sure if 43's and 59's is big enough to house tillers.

Anyone know if the any of the quints have arrived yet? It's been a year and would expect to start seeing them.

No its not the actual photo. Nothing on order or rfp'ed. I would hope it would look like that excluding the pusher axle but including that HD front axle. More for the look and color.

Oh ok. I personally like the 367 like LACoFD uses over the 567. I also like the HD front axle better.

Because all trucks are assigned to a light force, with the exception of Truck 9. Each light force consists of an engine and a truck. Therefore, there is no need for the truck to carry water or hose.

I understand that but I was just thinking if they would buy quints they could do away with the light force system because then the truck would be able to handle anything.

That second photo isn't the actually truck is it? I can't see them needing a pusher axle for what they do.

Why doesn't LA buy quints?

Anyone know if the front fenders are removable? I noticed above the front wheel there's a half moon circle that look like it comes off.
