Put these coordinates into Google Maps and it shows exactly where pic is taken --- There is actually an engine sitting in the spot for a photo.

Houston has zero TDA's. Only TDA's in Texas are Dallas and now Irving FD after they purchased two more. Hopefully more to follow. San Antonio used to have one but has since been retired.

Looking at some of those pictures the tillerman's view is obscured by 18 inches of the ladder resting while in travel

You can see the ladder is not fully bedded in the cradle so it will lower what looks to be about 8" or so. Not sure how much difference that makes.
