  1. That's an awesome engine! I thought they'd replace Engine 107 along with 106 too
  2. Yes, the tiller wheels can be locked. I also know that some manufacturers will deliver tillers such this on flat beds.
  3. Not my photo, but I saw it from a group on Facebook. Looks like the ladders are LTC
  4. Cool! Can't wait to see the new rig! (Although I guess it will be similar to T96)
  5. Sort of unrelated, but I also heard that Carlsbad is getting a new tiller quint too!
  6. Does anyone know where this tiller quint used to serve? Any info would be much appreciated! https://www.firetruckmall.com/AvailableTruck/07464/1996-Simon-Duplex-LTI-100'-Quint-Tiller
  7. Perfect! Thanks very much!
  8. Will that replace Truck 91?
  9. That is a gorgeous tiller
  10. Awesome! Thank you!
  11. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know who manufactures the LAcoFD squad? thanks in advance!
  12. I think you're referring to Portland, OR Squad 12 (former Squad 1), which is a Pierce Arrow XT tiller rescue with a knuckle-boom crane on the cab. Photo courtesy of: https://www.flickr.com/photos/45727377@N06/33652435408/
  13. I agree. The old style "City" logo meshed way better with the graphics.
  14. Oh dear :/ Any reason why? I do know the 07 Seagrave is in the shops quite a bit...
  15. 2 more engines and 2 tillers from the Pierce Flickr page. I'm assuming these are from the 12-tiller order. Not sure how many new engines were ordered. Still waiting for the new lime green engine
  16. Awesome! Thanks for the info!
  17. Whatever happened to the tillers? It’s been at least a couple of months since I last heard about them.
  18. Cool! Thanks for the info!
  19. Are the pumps single stage or two stage pumps?
  20. I think it’s because 88’s is the only fully staffed USAR (the others are cross-staffed).
  21. I concur with that as the shop numbers are different. The one delivered last year was number 29279, and the most recent one has the number 31012. Also, the numbers directly above the cab doors are different. So this leads me to believe that they are two different rigs. Does this mean that the old USAR units (27 and 89) are being replaced with the 88's previous rigs?
  22. Interesting, but then again, it's a Ferrarjunk
  23. Pretty sure its going to Texas because of the flag on the girl The enclosed cab is actually a popular option in Canada due to the extreme weather conditions. I know the max capacity of Pierce Industrial Pumpers is 3000 gpm. The large monitor in the middle looks to be a Williams Ambassador monitor which is capable of flowing 5000 gpm, and I'm assuming there's 2 rear monitors, which I think are TFT Monsoon monitors, which can flow 2000 gpm.
  24. At the time of the bid (literally several years ago), the only type of this kind of aerial device was Snorkel (which was owned by ALF at that time) and was not being produced at all. I believe Snorkel devices were only remounted, and I think that Chicago did not want to remount the rigs. It took several years for Rosenabauer to work out the kinks. It's a shame Chicago did not wait a couple of years until Smeal bought the Snorkel... However, I do hope CFD the best with their new squads!
  25. Interesting.. I thought they used the Federal Signal Touchmaster, but I just wanted confirmation of that...
