  1. They have Q2B's. They appear to be behind the bumper with an electronic style siren cover. Few departments have gone that route. Sac Metro I believe went from Dash, to some Velocity, to mainly Quantum, to now Enforcers for their Engines.
  2. So there is Heartland JPA/Dispatch and Heartland Fire Rescue. Heartland JPA/Dispatch is made up of Alpine, Barona, Bonita, Campo Reservation, El Cajon, Lakeside, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, San Miguel, Santee, Sycuan, and Viejas. All of these departments are dispatched by "Heartland" and most participate jointly within the JPA for trainings. Heartland Fire Rescue is El Cajon, La Mesa, and Lemon Grove who came together to kind of form one department.
  3. WT7251 has been gone for awhile. WT25 from Viejas and WT27 from Barona were the closest in the area before WT2 arrived. Supposed to be getting a new Type 3 soon as well. The Smeal/Spartan WUI Engines are the new path forward.
  4. L&A 46 is being staffed with San Miguel's Logistics Division. They are looking with other Heartland Departments for everybody to go in on a new Light & Air unit.
  5. If you look at the top portion of the grill, it looks like a light where the light projected runs side to side along the bar. Will be interesting and unique to San Diego if this is true. Example: Their light is green and is in the middle of their grill.
  6. WT2 will run in tandem with E2 like they previously did with WT7251 as well as extra staffing during Red Flags. From Lakeside's Facebook: Lakeside Fire Protection District has a great new tool being added to our line of fire apparatus for the approaching fire season. Our new Water Tander (WT2) is ready to be put in service. It is a Spartan US tanker. Specs are: Freightliner chassis, 196 inch wheel base, Cummins L9 350 hp engine, 750 GPM Hale water pump, 2000 gallon water tank and a 2100 gallon foldable porta tank. It will serve Lakeside for many years to come. Welcome WT2!
  7. If you look closer, it is Water Rescue 20. It gets used with heavy rain/storms throughout San Diego County. There is also a WR77 which I think is stationed in Valley Center. I believe WR20 covers South County and WR77 covers North County.
  8. https://www.piercemfg.com/customers/new-deliveries/city-of-el-cajon-fire-department-pumper-33561 New E8. I noticed the picture was not on the Pierce Flickr page.
  9. San Miguel got OES 297 when they went back to being independent from Cal Fire. When they went to Cal Fire, they lost both of their OES engines. OES 305 went to Lakeside at Station 26 and OES 307 went to Chula Vista Station 52 last I saw. As Dloemt stated, the rig/equipment and personnel double as a Type 3 USAR company. If you remember the Kern County Earthquake around 4th of July, there were several OES strike teams that were sent. It would be nice if some of the larger departments (6-10 stations) got more OES equipment to be used on large scale events/strike team deployments. Often times, OES apparatus are used as reserves if the department's frontlines are out of service. The only caveat is if the OES apparatus is out of service at the time of an OES strike team deployment, the host department has to send their own apparatus on the strike team. Hence why LAFD had to get their own Type 3's to assist with OES Type 3 strike teams if an OES Type 3 was out of service.
  10. 14's is busier than 22's, even though 22's call volume has seemingly gone up in the recent years. 16's is by far busier than 22's and is the busiest in the district. Last I heard, T15 is still being discussed in the apparatus committee. I haven't heard if it has been awarded any manufacturer yet. L&A 46 (E-One) is going to be excessed and will be out of service soon.
  11. BR46 belongs to San Miguel. Since BR14 is out of the county, they are utilizing a reserve Brush out of 14's. San Miguel's Ferrara Rescue (Old R18) is lettered as R46 and the E-One Rescue/Light and Air is now LA46. The reason why they went with 46, is because it can be housed at any station in the district without changing the numbering. And if you know the Central Zone's numbering, 46 belongs to San Miguel.
  12. It has one. Screaming Eagle is flush mounted in the bumper between the LED's.
  13. That video was recorded in April of 2017. It says so in the description. The new rigs are Spartans, Spartan Motors bought Smeal awhile ago.
  14. B53 is Coronado's Battalion Chief. Fire 1 and Fire 2 I believe is SDFD's Fire Chief and Assistant Chief. Unless something changed, that's what I knew them as.
  15. Yes. E19 and E18 as of tomorrow at 0800.
