I read an article in the Daily Breeze. All six new ARFF's are in service at ST80. Two of the old ARFF will go to Van Nuys and two will go to Ontario airports.

Noticed on Pulse Point that the CAD id's changed on the ARFF rigs at LAX. Now listed as AF1 thru AF7. Used to show as CR80 and F180, 280, 380.

I don't think there are 7, but there was definitely an AF7 listed. Didn't see Stairs 80 on there. Possibly 6 frontline crash rigs and Stairs 80.

I got a alert on my phone about a incident at LAX and it said AF1,2,3,4,5,6,and 7. Here is a video to confirm there is a rig numbered 6.

After watching the above video, I believe the green lights are for visibility. Their red lights were not on which indicated no emergency. I just found this on wikipedia.

  • Green emergency lighting is used on vehicles which are protecting nuclear facilities, oil & gas depots, water storage facilities and dams, gas pipelines, airports, defense facilities, maritime facilities, and all other areas which are at a high risk of terrorist attacks.

Don't know about 2 old rigs going to Van Nuys and 2 going to Ontario, but I see one of the E-One HPR 8X8's (the one without the Snozzle) is listed on Company Two's website (apparatus dealer/broker). Only rig I could see going any where's would be the Oshkosh T-1500, to Van Nuys. Just me guess.

Stair 80 is now AF7.

Two E-One's with Snozzle went to Ontario Airport.

1500 gallon Oshkosh went to Van Nuys Airport.

Actually I heard a rumor that there was talk of a third crash rig being placed in service at 114's.I can find out more about it when I go to the pancake breakfast at 114's in two weeks.

No E-One's going to FS 114.  Two went to Ontario airport and third one stayed at LAX as a reserve.

FS 114 is not getting a third vehicle.  There are three vehicles there now until the 1980 RIV is swapped over to the 1997 RIV that they just received from LAX.
