Yes, spoke to my contact and the new Tower 18 is still being built at the Pierce plant. Hughes Fire Equipment has the in

process pictures for this unit and the two new engines on order, as well on their site.

CCFD has 4 Towers at 11,16,17,18 and a 75' stick at T 22,they pulled the old aerial ladder out of Laughlin

LVFR has 4 Towers and 2 TDAs

Henderson has 2 Towers

since they all work closely together, that looks like the equipment they will stay with

CCFD gained another station, this one at Mt Charleston when they took over the NDF station across the road from Station 81 (vol)

Went by there two weeks ago,the NDF station had two NDF type 3s in the bays and a CCFD Pierce Quantum on the apron,

Lettered T 4 (must be a training engine ,reserve piece) (FF all were hired as full time CCFD firefighters)  Not sure if CCFD will get to keep those two NDF Type 3s or order replacements

Update, as of yesterday, new Tower 18 still at CCFD shops awaiting more new equipment.

Training on the new Tower 18 is starting on the unit while at the shops.

This unit will have all NEW equipment, all the old equipment on the present T 18 will stay with the truck

which will be a reserve unit at a station that has room to house it.

Many new engines coming in from Pierce.  Also a new tanker, and brush attack units now at the CCFD shops

according to my source. Those units will go to the volly stations throughout the County
