Posted May 29, 2015 Is NDF taking thier engine with them when they leave in July? What will happen to the volunteers?
Posted June 1, 2015 Not sure but the local paper said that CCFD would hire the NDF firefighters. Not sure about the apparatus that is at the station. Will check with my neighbor, a CCFD Captain. I would think that the volunteers will stay in place at their station across the street from the NDF station.
Posted June 3, 2015 Update on the CCFD takeover of Mt Charleston NDF stations Todays LV Review-Journal article states that Clark County is putting together the funds and a package to take over the Kyle Canyon Station, 8 firefighters and the part time Lee Canyon Station from NDF on 7/1/15 Nothing was mentioned on the apparartus subject. Also, the 30 or so volunteers at the Mt Charleston CCFD station will stay in place, nothing changes there.
