Posted April 29, 2015 Does anyone know if new station 45 is still on schedule to open in June, and will the Truck Company go into service around that time. Also is 51's going to be in a temporary house to start. Also I heard 3's getting a new house, that true?
Posted April 29, 2015 45 should be getting close to opening. New truck company to be assigned as well as Haz Mat. 51 will be in a temporary station for now. Haven't heard anything about 3. Seems unlikely. I have not seen it listed on any "wish list" for new capital improvements. Sounds false to me.
Posted April 29, 2015 Station 3 is not getting a new station, but they are getting some needed modifications (also stations 15 and 8).

Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) New Station 5 here in Hillcrest is getting delayed due to a "bureaucratic mess-up". http://sdgln.com/news/2015/08/14/new-hillcrest-fire-station-groundbreaking-delayed#sthash.i1ZLQ6ly.dpbs “The financing for this fire station comes from a $120 million deferred capital bond,” Muñoz said. “Because of litigation, the bond was delayed more than six months, causing the initiation of the bid and award phase to be delayed. Because of this delay, we were not able to commit to leaving the proposed site in time to meet the terms of the lease.” - See more at: http://sdgln.com/news/2015/08/14/new-hillcrest-fire-station-groundbreaking-delayed#sthash.i1ZLQ6ly.oyATGQiY.dpuf Edited August 14, 2015 by California Red

Posted November 2, 2015 Saw new 45's on the news. Looks really nice You can read the UT article here http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/2015/nov/01/mission-valley-fire-station-mainar-faulconer/ Though I am curious the FD still has their International/SVI as a reserve Hazmat. (That rig has ta be 30 years old) I guess once the new Pierce HM1 arrives they'll get rid of it and put the Spartan/Saulsbury(HM2) as a reserve. (And the KME HM1 will be HM2)
