not really true 'quints'  nfpa standards for a quint are a minimum of 350 gallons of water and a certain amount of supply line . a lot of cities are now going with this concept as an ' additional resource '. if the truck happens to come upon a vehicle fire or dumpster fire while out on the road , they can start to attack the fire while waiting for an engine company to arrive. but most cities do not run them as first out pieces on fires with the exception of maybe la county fire

joeyk48, Do you know the tank size and pump size? County is a true quint and even they dont run them as a quint with the exception of a few stations that run a quint only. Good looking tiller and a real Q siren.

It appears that the LAFD is adding a quick attack type capability to their new trucks.  Air Kwik has a unit similar to the ones on the Brush Patrols that can be mounted in a forward compartment in the trailer.  Their website shows Truck 9 with such a unit installed.  Very limited water, but enough to at least knock down a small fire.
