  1. Not yet. They had to do a few modifications to the first one. We're hopeful that the first one will arrive within the next 2 months.
  2. We are hoping for the delivery of these within the next few months.
  3. Mid point inspection was completed on the first one 2 weeks ago at Ferrara.
  4. no news yet. still in process at Ferrara.
  5. They still got a ways to go. Theyve started construction on them but we dont have a firm ETA quite yet.
  6. Ferrara got the bid for the new trucks. Currently in the works. 3 trucks and 8 more engines this go around.
  7. Ferrara did our 2 heavy rescue squads and is currently doing our 8 new engines. Truck bid isnt awarded yet. 2 new cliff rescue rigs are in service and 2 new surf rescue rigs within the next year or so.
  8. That being said, I'm pretty confident that the other beach communities and Torrance could also continue their mutual aid policy with the city of Hermosa Beach so they'd be no loss in service.
  9. Thats a fairly accurate listing. Theres been a handful of additions/retractions.
  10. I'll bite, what are the other specialty pieces?
  11. The CO2 unit is at station 13 down in the financial district [ high rise area ] of the City. That area has the highest probability of underground vault explosions and gets called out on them occasionally. Its crossed staffed by members of station 13.
  12. We still have a handful of the Ford C cabs...the BOE rig mentioned above, the lighting unit, an attack hose tender, a hose tender, and a few support units [ a stake bed truck that used to be our pollution control rig, the old CO2 unit, and the old service squad/air unit ] all sitting in storage with no place to go.
  13. We have 2 of them. 1 thats completely open in the back and the one in the background of this pic. The one thats open in the back was just restored and its now added to our parade fleet. The one in the background is still a frontline rig, assigned to our Bureau of Equipment and still responds code 3 to all 2nd alarm and greater fires along with special call outs for dept involved accidents and other unique incidents.
  14. They will be going into reserve status shortly.
