  1. Is Orange County Fire Authority phasing out tillers, and going back to the Sutphen platforms as well as rearmounts?
  2. Engines 5 and 94 have their new Pierce Engines in service now with the LA City Logo on their rigs.
  3. I remember when I saw 2 Snorkels assigned to San Diego Fire Rescue including Truck 5 back in the 80's. I agree that TDA's are the best trucks to have due to them being very maneuverable.
  4. Awesome and hopefully they get a new engine company in service one day.
  5. Finally San Diego Fire Rescue is getting TDA's again and maybe this will be the beginning of San Diego transitioning to TDA's for their trucks just as L.A. County and Orange County did with their trucks going from rearmounts to TDAs.
  6. I think that San Diego Fire Department should provide their own ambulance service as other Fire Departments do.
  7. Extra staffing due to the Santa Ana wind event and numerous wildfires currently active in So-Cal
  8. They've been very busy lately especially on mutual aid incidens.
  9. There is an apparatus storage shed located on the side of Station 82 facing Foothill Blvd. and I believe that both the B.C. vehicle and the patrol are stored in that apparatus storage shed.
  10. The department did get a total of 6 type 3 engines for the mainland besides the 3 type 3's stationed on Santa Catalina Island and they need to be placed in service asap due to the current situation that we're having with more Santa Ana's being forcasted and no rain in the immediate future.
  11. What site is YNG Fire?
  12. Awesome and hopefully Orange County will buy Pierces in the future.
  13. End of the Pierce Quantum era and what cabs will they be using and any word if Clark County Firs Department will ever get TDA's again?
  14. Interesting and 32's water tender sure looks different in comparison to the other water tenders with the exception of water tender 128 having a cab-over apparatus and all the other water tenders resembling each other such as 80's and 156's.
  15. No and they're staying with KME's with the exception of their Squads, Patrols, Type 3's, and their Command Units.
  16. No problem and I saw what appeared to be a Foam Tender at 32's recently unless its another specialize apparatus.
  17. Does 32 have a Foam tender as well?
  18. I saw a video on instagram of a new LAFD Pierce TDA going south on the 15 freeway in Las Vegas heading towards Los Angeles most likely coming from the Pierce Factory in Appleton Wisconsin and I noticed a taillight bulb not working and hopefully the rig doesn't have elictrical issue.
  19. Not sure but 17's had another Major Emergency structure fire the other day, so they definitely need the Light Force to reopen.
  20. I wouldn't be surprised if 1 gets a new Truck with all the mileage that their current one has due to the time that Engine 1 was closed and the light force had been swamped with lots of calls that the engine would normally go on.
  21. I know that there are 9 Pierce TDA's in service from the first order which are 3,9,11,26,27, 66, 89, 92, and 95.
  22. Who has received the 10th Pierce Truck from the first order because 88 is still using their ALF as their frontline truck.
  23. Also don't forget the 6 L.A. County Type 3 Engines from BME have been delivered and not sure of theirStation assignments but one of them supposedly is going to Station 79 in Valyermo which is located in the Eastern Antelope Valley,
  24. Both Engine 38 andTruck 38 recieved new rigs and the new Type 3 at 82's is in service now.
  25. I saw the new Truck 38 at the shops the other day.
